Qpik Supercharged November 23, 2007 Share November 23, 2007 wolfy, r u bored today. go into this topic. just kidding ok, just to share w u. some pple believe but i feel that if the kid cannot cope, no point stressing them and ourselves. i hv an ex-boss who feels that paying 1.4million just to stay near "ESCAPE" primary school is worth it cos both parents hold management post (1 in big 4, 1 in Ah Gong related coy). not sure if he wld be able to get in or not. Porker Turbocharged November 23, 2007 Share November 23, 2007 When I have kids in future... I want them to speak as eloquently as the 2 kids in the Mcdonald's TV commercial ---> They have this bag where you can carry home and there's an M sorta handle at the top so you can carry! Wow!!!! Gearoil 1st Gear November 23, 2007 Share November 23, 2007 I am not so worried about the lousy parents lying to getting their brats in supposedly 'GOOD" school...becos these ppl form only the present hardcore batch...I'm more worried about HOW these so called 'well educated' brats will turn out to be in the future when they do grow up and hold position in our society! Watwheels Supersonic November 23, 2007 Share November 23, 2007 Yeah. It's on the front page of the ST Home section today. Actually it's forgery rather than lying, he paid 1.6k monthly to use a rental apartment address. He's a good dad IMO. He wants the best for his children, anyway who's parent doesn't? Silver_blade Turbocharged November 23, 2007 Share November 23, 2007 I feel that sending kids to good school is an important factor...tho not the most important. Good school provides:- a. better studying environment with generally smarter kids: better benchmark, b. teachers generally have more motivation to teach well cos of higher expectation and upholding the school's reputation, c. good networking for the kids. But all these are just one factor in a child's overall development....parenting, religion, etc...are the more important ones.
