Hi

I recently bought a 3 series that is on 265/30/19 and 235/35/19 wheels.

Both tyres are XL.

The current tyres are CSC5 but would like to know if there are other brands in this profile there that I can consider.

Wanted to get Goodyear F1 A2 but they don't seem to come in XL.

3 series dont need to be on XL.

MPV or SUV that are heavier needed it more with their weight especially mpv where it seats 7.

I'm not a BMW owner, but does BMW need a stagger size?

[thumbsup] hamburger

for this Bimmer 3 does not required XL rating

cars that required XL rating are generally heavy weight or CAN carry heavy load like SUV/MPV and commercial vehicle.

generally speaking if 1 want to upsize your wheels this tyre Load index need to be taken into consideration especially heavy weight car

I more issue to consider is when you upsize or change your wheels for runflat tyre also need to lookup for rim that suitable for runflat tyre

GY F1A2

CSC5

Michelin PSS

Pirelli PZero

You can't go wrong with any of the above. I'm using the F1A2 currently. Grip on wet roads is absolutely fantastic.

3 series may not need XL. More important is to look at the tyre load index. XL or not is not important.

JUST to share XL is linked to load index

ei i just called my friend up.

GY got sell 19" XL tyres leh.

265/30/19 93Y XL
235/35/19 91Y XL
Call any GY distributor up and specifically request for these tyre loads and they will be XL.
The 235/35 has a non-XL version which is 87Y. Just ask for the 91Y and they will give you.

Yes, even the current 'small' 235i comes in 'stagger' as standard but it is an option to have them 'equal all round' if you insist.

Personally I hate stagger sizes unless I am driving exotic stuff like NSX or Lambo. But I can't afford exotic stuff so I just hate stagger sizes.

i don't see the need of stagger size, maybe in a Porsche, where the engine is hanging off the rear axle..but other makes, I yet to see the engine config like Porsche...the cayenne doesn't have stagger? doesn't it?

Well, stagger is quite common actually, esp with big displacement RWD.

The Audit RS3 actually has 'reverse' stagger. Fronts wider than rears.
