Lala81 Hypersonic April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 (edited) Staycation for Singaporeans like a bit not worth, the prices are quite crazy, unless got really really good discount. Maybe I dunno how to enjoy. I agree. I usually just watch a lot of TV. But never did a staycation in singapore. I'd rather go malaysia or thailand for a short trip. Vhtfhwlego Supercharged April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 The point of staycation is to get away for a short period of time. Then are you bringing your phone along with you? If so, what's the point?

Wt_know Supersonic April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 (edited) i never believe staycation ... if in spore i rather go home sleep ... even 5 star hotel bed is not as good as the bed at home ... the familiar smell can put me in bed in less than 2 mins ... muahahaha i rather arrange a whole day outing (slow pace) and yet still go home sleep and luckily my hdb still can put in extra chair for steamboat with extended family and drink cheap beer ... Donut Supercharged April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 Staycation .. I think .. will be very attractive to single couples who live with parents, married couples who lived with parents, married couples with kids and wants to take a break on their own. But I've also seen, staycation bring parents, bring kids, then I dunno liao. i think Staycation is still viable and appealing. there are few valid reasons why its viable. Besides agreeing with the above groups of consumers, there is another group who hates to travel, flying here and there. They just wan short and simple check in and laze around. Even driving into MY can be a hassle due to checkpont jams and time wastage. Don't most of you feel more tired after an overseas trip, that you need one or two more days of rest to recharge? If you have staycation, you don't get all these hassle of travelling, packing and unpacking, rushing to catch planes. I was sitting at Festive Hotel lobby on a Saturday and i noticed alot of local families checking in. Staycation is still appealing to some groups of consumers.

I enjoyed the staycation at RWS but didn't stay Festive. Was at one of the other RWS hotel. Maybe bec I work away from SG so I can't wait to get back and have a vacation in SG where everything is like clockwork 99% of the time.
Ender Hypersonic April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 Sometimes just want to break the routine without spending much. Waking up to something different. The only staycation I did was also festival hotel with the kids. Universal studio and back to hotel pool was the main draw. Next time time will try haunted chalet..

The meaning of staycation is to ditch the kids (if any) and bring the wife (gf if not married) Eat, sleep, watch football and buck around like bunnies. Jman888 Moderator April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 singapore is too small, if you work near cbd or down town, you stay in the hotels around there like can still feel the stress if not you are spending hundreds of $$ staying like 20min away from your bed. one brother suggest go JB which is the best, you get a different experience (shopping or sight seeing), and do it at half the cost.
