Reverse from small road to main road

wanted to find out whats the penalty for such an offence?

If you have done it, nothing you can do, just wait for the LTA letter. Fine/demerit pts just accept the punishment.

 

If you have not done it, then don't try....

Why do ppl do such a thing to endanger themselves and other road users just for a short cut to save some time? Get caught dan ask what's the penalty. IMO if you want to take the risk dan dun ask, take whatever penalty that comes when caught. Bigger question is will you do it again? To endanger yourself and other road users?

There are so many cars that missed highways exit and reversed back.

 

Didn't know it is an offence.

There was such a case many years ago. Tuas-bound PIE exit to BKE. Car got whacked, driver and young daughter died.

Is possible that there is a "valid" reason for doing - may not automatically be save time or whatever (although I can't imagine a valid reason right now beyond total carnage and blocked side road)

Reversing on expressway unnecessarily is 6 points. But TS asking about from small road to main road.
