Kind of old and a bit run down but the food is okay. must try the Borsch soup . . very yummy.

They are known for their oxtail stew too which they only have every Wed and Sat (if I remember correctly).

The escorgot not bad not bad.

Please make reservation a day before, it is always full house.

Their baked alaska is a must try. steak not so bad but need to have patience since most of the servers are in their 50s or 60s.

Borsch soup, shashilik (meat on metal skewer), alaska bomb, old school service by really old waiter and waitress.. ahh... the good ol days !

Most of the old school staffs are gone and with them the old school ways of service.

I wonder how's the service now ... I heard the old ppl there are not so polite ... but will the newer staffs be better ?

Speaking of steak and old school, anyone remember a small steak place at Specialist Shopping Centre? Don't remember the name anymore, has it moved somewhere ?

--edit--

Did a search and this might be the one http://www.fosters-restaurant.com/history.html. [laugh] Old school. Haven't tried them since Specialist Shopping Centre was demolished.

Think fosters moved to Holland Village.. the extreme corner one..
