There is nothing wrong with having the same retail mix as other malls in Sg. The key is Punggol residents now would have the convenience of a mall right at their doorsteps instead of always travelling to town to do shopping or to other suburban malls. Good to also know SAFRA Punggol would be opened by next year. Another good place for outing for families.

My concern is would it be able to support the evergrowing population of Punggol. Currently, with Punggol only roughly half developed, the interchange & MRT already starting to show strains during peak hours. There are only 2 exits to TPE and need to share with Sengkang. Can't imagine the situation in another few years time.

if there were no traffic jams here, there wld b no COE... do u think they want that to happen? COE generates billions per annum for them BTW... thats a big hole to fill

while COE might not be a purely revenue generator, thats alot of $ to balance on the current budget if there was no COE...

Seletar Mall is a sad place. Might as well go to Compass Point or AMK Hub.

LTA messed up on road planning. Especially with the huge and largely useless bus bay built recently, the jam to exit Punggol from TPE (Changi) is seriously messed up during peak hours.

COE to milk you dry first, then ERP for the finishing blow.

It makes me wonder if that useless bus bay is a ploy to mess up the traffic there and give them a reason to implement ERP. Hmm..

Yup. During the construction, I thought they are widening the exit. Who knows they create such a big bus lane/stop. The exit is even more narrow. The evening jam on TPE caused by the exit design can extend all the way to Tampines Ave 10.

alot of FW camp at Seletar Mall for free Wifi and possibly aircon at the same time!

So bad ah...

Has never be to there since it open even though I stay in Seng Kang.
