Rims: I think the stock rims 16" doesn't complement the car size well, tire walls too thick, quite ugly in my opinion. 18" rims was one of the first few things I had it changed and no regrets. Ride comfort not compromised as the new A4's suspension is really well tuned.

Piggyback ECU / Stage 1: I asked my SA during first servicing, in house tuning provided by PA, not available yet for this model / new engine.

PPS: I frequently wash my car so after awhile it seems like all PPS effect will be reduced. It was good for 6 months though lol.

Yeah, I really detest the 16" rims...Today just went to buy 19" prodrive rims, fixing them up on Monday. Can't wait to be rid of those stock rims.

Piggyback ECU is what I'm considering but probably must do with 3rd party since PA won't have it so soon. And PA sure charge a lot...heard it doesn't void warranty but isn't so good for the engine due to certain technical reasons.

White/Black - Rain/water marks/dirt very obvious

Grey should be the most easiest to maintain.

I have 1 brown, 2 black cars, 1 white and now another white car.

would have gone for grey if they had the brown interior for that.. :)

Chose white because I think the signature Audi colours are the white/black/silver. But I do expect an uphill task of maintaining it clean. Only get white if you're dedicated to hand-washing your car at least once a week imo.

Previously drove a Camry in their signature green-grey colour. Two month never wash also can't tell  [laugh]

Imo, A4 looks best in black as it brings out the sharp lines of the design. My previous Audi was black, and I'm not really diligent in washing the car so the dirt showed up quite prominently. My new A4 is matador red, which so far I've not seen other similar colour of A4 on the road yet.

Other colours that I think are good for hiding dirt are argus brown, and blue. And of course silver.

My last 2 cars are all black and new car also black.

While I agree that black is not the easiest to maintain, I love the shine on the black car after you give it a good wash and wax.

While some colour like silver is easy to maintain, the dirt is not so obvious. They do not have the shine of a black car.

Pros and Cons I guess and personal preference.

Do you happen to stay in the West ? There is a Matafor Red in my MSCP. I agree that the Matador Red is pretty rare.

Yup! And if u noticed my previous black Audi, it was usually dirty. :)

And I agree that black is very nice, especially on an A4. Good choice!

Totally agree, black is beautiful but hard to maintain. Fine scratches are so obvious unlike silver.

Honestly Silver doesn't stand out but yes, easy to maintain so too grey, metallic etc.

Audis look great in black more so than other brands. Just like the Ferrari red looks good on their cars compared to others, anyway enjoy your ride!

that's because of the gigantic chrome grille with 4-rings match perfectly with black ... [thumbsup]

IMO it's also because Audi's designs very executive looking with fairly slab-like styling and lack substantial excess detailing that do not require shiny or mid-brightness colors for emphasis.

But this is changing with the increasing number of facets and edges in the new generation designs.

hi , for me i'm not too sure about the black, but personally i think its the white is more a pain than black haha . Before this b9, i drove a abis white b8 , and bird's stains and water marks are everywhere .  then i was told that glacier white was better ,but eveytime i wash and clay my car ...just in a day ,i can see many stains on the car .. As for the easiest to maintain , i think its the suvee silver  [laugh] . As for why black , i thinks its the style? like black looks fierce or luxurious? hahah

Yeap I am  [:p]

The S-line side skirt isn't very expensive and it makes the car's stance nicer, so I'd say go for it.

haha ok thanks ! anyway did you collect your car on the same day or had to leave it there for a day?

Only reason I chose white over black was because black cars tend to be really hot when parked outdoors...

Both are equally hard to maintain imo.

personally find the car very crisp and well designed...although it looks pretty similar to the previous B8 gen but the lines are more defined in the new model...

but just wondering...the new model has been out for almost a year now...but dont see many on the roads...is it just me or the model is not as well recepted as the previous gen?

audi is not as "popular" compare to bmw and merc

people would rather buy 318 and c180

audi design is unexciting compare to bmw and merc

merc design wins but bmw drive wins (rwd)

audi fwd plus lower badge status ... it's a no brainer

Maybe we like it when it is less common, unlike the 318 or c180. Maybe it's because we like the understated exterior sheet metal, though I have to give credit to C180's design, it's really good looking. Maybe because we tried the 318 & didn't like it because it's the slowest of the bunch, not to mention current FWD technology is vastly improved, on par with RWD with negligible differences for the everyday drive.

Or maybe because Audi A4 owners paid around $15K - $20K lesser for the same car in the same segment? It's a no brainer for some people.
