Wonder if the dealer will bring in the estate, they did with the previous gen megane, it's more practical than the hatch.

Got to say the Estate model sort of grows on me. Hope Renault Singapore can bring in this model and also a couple of petrol engines of 1.2 litre and 1.6 litre. The diesel engine is noisy on the outside which was a big turn off for me for the Fluence.

Futuristic design, only worry on the reliability

I won't worry too much about reliability... since the last Megane, reliability has been pretty good...

Petrol 1.2L turbo good for Clio size only. Other bigger and heavier models will make it breathless!

anything even old models from Y2009 onwards are very reliable.

The 1.2L engine performance seems to be on par with N.A. 1.6 litre engine. Or maybe even the same league or slightly better than the previous 1.6 litre engine from Nissan. But this engine size should be good for city driving like ours yet low on taxes and petrol costs.

Just collected my Megane GT-Line yesterday. Its feels wide. The dCi110 engine coupled with EDC is quite fun to drive especially in SG's start-stop traffic.

But have to get use to the electronic parking brake (no hand brake).

i'm driving the Megane hatchback too.....electronic brake too.... just wonder..... in the case of brake failure, what should we do? For non electronic brake, during brake failure, there is still a handbrake to pull..... but electronic brake? How? Any enlightenment?

just want to ask for any bros driving the diesel megane hatchback.... any of you experience the air con or air con fan problem? meaning the system is running, but the wind is not coming out even when press to full blast, but yet can hear the fan running in the background, especially the top vent near to the windscreen......But when stop the engine and let it rest for awhile..... the wind came back like usual...... Anyone else like me experience such problem?

recently did a day trip to Batu Pahat...... the air con system also got smoke comes out and ice spitting out from the air con vent..... hahaha.......

Last week morning, I experience the same issues as stated above, immediately brought the car to Renault at Alexander. Shown the service staff the problems and they have no clue either but to ask me to leave the car for them to inspect, which i did not as I don't have the time to do that yet........

Hope someone can advise me....

thanks for the advice. So what can I do about it? as in DIY for now, as it is still about 2000km before my next servicing is due.

I think a car aircon specialise workshop can do a better job than the dealer.

I think e-brake will still work, but I have not try myself. I'd put gear to manual mode and downshift, let the engine do the braking.

I believe the e-brake will definitely work unless its involves electrical failure too then the brake fails. Then the only option is engine brake and pray real hard that you have enough road to come to a stop before hitting anything/anyone !  :lll._.:
