Alphas 2nd Gear November 10, 2015 Share November 10, 2015 Anyone encountered while breaking just before the car stops, it gives a HMHmhmmmmmm sound. It get louder when raining and quite annoying, any idea to get rid of this noise? It is not a screeching sound cause by the brake pad, it is a Hmmmmm sound that only when the wheels just stops or starts moving. ↡ Advertisement

Showster Twincharged November 11, 2015 Share November 11, 2015 Mine got similar problem. Even changed brake pad did not solve the problem although it appeared less frequently and less loudly. My car mechanic relative said it could be something about humidity and hand brake. Anyway checked at workshop many times. No issue, safe for my case. Alphas 2nd Gear November 12, 2015 Author Share November 12, 2015 Did rotor skimming on 4 discs and braking is more smoother and even. Before they place back the brake pads, I coat the all the brake calipers with silicon grease, now the braking noise is gone.

In the morning it will have a bit of the noise, but after some driving it goes away, probably as the rotor and brake pads heat up. ↡ Advertisement
