Unfair 3rd Gear December 30, 2015 Share December 30, 2015 Just came back from there last week.Just skip peranakan restaurants. If this cuisine is good, it wouldnt just exist there.Restoran Tong Sheng is very good and reasonable. Be sure to make reservations in advance.Dont miss Capitol Satay Celup as well ! Restoran Tong Sheng is very good and reasonable. Be sure to make reservations in advance. Dont miss Capitol Satay Celup as well ! That is so stuuuupid, imo, thanks for the suggestion though. Bei Zan is OK ish, might try it again but been there many times. As you say nice setting and the staff and service is always good. The 'Lamb Shank' is very good but too much even for 5 of us. Yeah the Peranakans have been poor for a long time was hoping for a new one or one that might have improved a lot. Where is Restoran Tong Sheng??? Any update on Lee's Crab place??? What about the restaurant next to Hard Rock which used to be called 'The Tarragon'. Has that reopened yet? Used to go Auntie Lee but understand she already retired and reportedly sold the business, standard dropped since then. My Peranakan frens say home cooked food is the bestz Nancy's moved to new location along Jalan Syed Abdul Aziz. Did not make reservation and walked in on a weekday afternoon last week. Ban Lee Siang not to my tastes. A bit more watery and not as spicy haha. I prefer the Capitol one where they make 'new' satay sauce for customers and its more gao.
