The SA tell me change also no use, sound will also come back after awhile. Understood from the SA that it seems like a common and known problem of the final drive for E84 model.

 

When I tried researching on the internet before buying this X1, there was no mention of Final Drive giving whining noise. Now kenna very pissed off. Especially there is no solution for it.

Call up BMW Specialist workshop & check.

Yes also saw the X1 s18i recently. Yes no park assist and small 6" led screen. However for the 163k price, the 216d GT is a better option as more spacious, more features, more fuel efficient and value for money. Yes pml is stingy with features so must install outside like elebest. Went also to c&c and sit in the b class. Wow! So spacious and larger lcd screen but the price definitely more ex.

PML is stingy with features but C&C is not any better. I don't think B Class comes with rear Aircon, navigation, keyless entry and electric tail gate. If u add these options, it will be much more expensive than a 2GT. Btw, C&C options are not cheap. However correct me if I am wrong, my experience is with older versions of B Class. Maybe the newer B Class has more options. As for spaciousness, I don't think the rear seats of B Class can fight even the 2AT. It cannot slide, backrest also cannot adjust, maybe the front seats are more spacious and comfy than a 2AT but for a MPV, owner is not buying a driver's car but a family car where all members of the family should feel comfortable. That's my 2 cents.

True I also realise if c&c bring in b180 diesel cdi the engine is same as Renault 1.5l diesel engine which is not as good as the twin turbo mini 1.5l 3 cylinder diesel engine found in 216d.

Wah...Your X1 is the 1.8? The new facelift model?  I was thinking of getting this car. After reading the treads, I might have to source for an alternative.

Agree. last checked the B-class is about $149k as compared to the X1 at $163k. But the B-class is smaller and interior looks dated.

I think all BMWs from PML don't have alarm system.

Interior for the B-class looks fine to me. X1 interior is typical BMW Plain Jane interior.

Different strokes for different folks though...

Long wheel base X1 has it wheelbase and overall length stretched by 79mm, making it just 100mm shorter than the Larger X3.

Tried the new x1 20 recently. Quite a big step up compared to the old model. Very much roomier and better drive even though hp difference is minimal. What a difference engine tuning makes.
