Only 4 door vehicles have a chance at becoming taxis, hehe...

I thought now MPV and hatchback also have.

Well yes but I meant 4 doors in a strict sense, so hatchback is also considered 4 doors.

So buy a 2 door coupe and it will never be a taxi!

Oh. Lol. But I'd rather have the convenience of the extra doors. Don't mind driving the same model that is used as taxi.

If the owner mind, just don't buy similar brand with the standard Taxi color.

E.g., no white MB, red Wish, Maroon Prius.....etc.

I have a suggestion, all taxi companies just use one colour scheme. They can have their own logo to differentiate themselves, but just one colour eg. yellow.

Last time only one model and one model only, toyota.

Now taxi pattern more than badminton.

This is my experience:

When I stand at the road side or at the taxi stand, whatever taxi that comes next or willing to stop I will hop one.... What blue, what yellow what maroon? Got taxi to seat already happy liao!

Our LTA is really extra when it comes to manage taxis, micromanage for the wrong things,

what surcharge this and that........midnight surcharge, taxi uncle go hide one corner sleep from 11-12MN,

what what peak hour surcharge or ERP, rest of the time cannot find taxi...

Nowadays even blue cab also have to see which one you flag down. Older Sonata, $3.20 flagdown. Newer i40, $3.70.

So many different models and pricing.

My main point is...when you need a taxi, will you pick and choose which company taxi you flag or flag the next available one?

As long as not 300C or Merc, anything also can unless many taxis around.

If desperate, 300C also take.

Late at night, all taxis look the same... Just want to reach home fast.

I tried to flag police cars on a few occasions... Cuz from a distance, I thought they are cabs.

dai ji dua diao if they stop i tell u...

I had a drunk fren lying on road many years ago. Patrol car stopped and he thought the officer was a taxi driver when they approached him (lying on road)

The 2 cops were nice enough to actually send him home to doorstep.

Maybe I don't take taxis enough but the few times a year I take taxis, anything that resembles a taxi with green light on top I will flag.

you can never be sure that the one you passed on could jolly well be the last cab in the area for the next 30 mins.
