When the factory and tooling was new, the production cost was relatively higher. As the productuon facility depreciates over time, production cost becomes lower.2. Matured production gets less rejects and reworks, thereby lowering production cost. 3. As a model becomes older, product line has to lower their selling price to attract more sales.
