Hi,

Heard that the price to scrap your car is super low.

Toyota Vios - $0

Toyota Wish - $300

Honda Civic - $500

Mitsubishi Lancer - $200

Nissan Latio - $100

will it worth more while you exchange/sell your part to someone needed?  car owner which still have 1 or 2 years to go.

Example head / tail light.  Car body parts.  Radio, Seat. Rim, Tyres

Now, I need left tail light for Toyota Wish.  Also front and rear bumper.

Anyone interested to sell?

How does this work if I own a used car?

As a seller

I will quote a high price but below the price of a new part.

No point for me to sell dirt cheap.

I'm sure almost all would want to profit and not make a loss.

But if I sell, then what happens to my car? My car will be left with a missing part, isn't it?

Then I have to buy another part to replace??  [hur]

As an exchange party

Good for me if my current part is old and I get a newer one.

But why would the other party exchange his newer part with my older part?

And vice versa same theory.

So in the end... whats the point?

I mean exchange parts.

Example my rear tail lamp is cracked.  I need to exchange with someone plus top up.

Went to scrap yard today.  Check out the rate.  They take in Toyota wish body for $400.

many also stated their cars are worth thousands and good for renew coe...

MY case is I wanna renew COE and need some replacement parts.

I think this way is a Win Win situation.  I exchange parts with you and I top up.

With the current COE situation, I think many will still want to renew their COE as compared to buying another used car.

Your deal would only probably come from those who do not want to drive anymore and rather scrap their car.

Or those who scrap their car and buy another car.

But likely not many of such people.

Sound great.

But renewing COE is really a better choice now. Of cos need to know the history of the car.

Definitely need to know the owner and no point renewing COE if mileage almost 200-300k
