Hi TienChin,

You may want to consider fitting pivot drive ethrottle before heading north.

The improved response will make it a more pleasant and more importantly a safer ride. Btw, it is TC's warranty friendly and no need to remove during service.

Cheers.

Richard

Hi Richard,

I saw on the car there is a [sdrive.Smart Throttle Controller] [Freepower)

I will assume that this has been installed previously. :)

I am still worried about the warranty portion for this.

Thanks!

Hi Tienchin,

Get pivot drive made in Japan one ..used is fine. Mine in qashqai and forester xt are 9 yrs old from sunny and estima.

Must be almost 100 out of 250 whatsapp group bros with ethrottle and mine had been warranty serviced several engine related issues with no concern raised by TC who is very reasonable.

Cheers.

Richard

Hi Richard,

So you think its better to remove the current one and look for a Made in JP one? I just looking through at pages 80++ and i have saw your recommendation.  Lets see how it works first. i like to spend on other poison first for now. :P

Example, safety lock because my boy like to pull open the handle and maybe a decent head unit and also a TPMS.

I’m trying to change rims

from the stock 215/60 17 x 7 (40mm offset) rims

to 17 x 7.5 (42mm offset) rims.

Thru online calculator it says it will less 8.4mm inboard clearance.

Is it significant? Is this a fit?

Hi Haronkr,

can check with you does it work the same as pivot e throttle? where and how much to get the freepower? Seems like macwell does not carry the e throttle for qashqai anymore. need the 5A module as some mentioned. thanks

E-throttle? Yeah...just helps you accelerate harder with lesser effort.

Got mine at Fong Kim. Near Mcwell too. Can't remember the price tho. $200 to $300 iirc.

Is it the harness? I think you can get online.
