Much more impressed with the Silvias, kicking up dust and drifts. and so much closer to the kerbs..

The 4WD cars are so boring... in slowmo, it looks like Ah Peks lost in big carpark looking for lots.

Evos and Rexes have less entertainment value in CP rallies.. Only in circuits and upper Thomson road can they shine

Too bad I didn't get to watch it till the end for the winner announcement.

It's just damn too hot afternoon.

I headed to Changi airport to watch aeroplane instead  [laugh]

hopefully they continue the events.

I think the event will strive on, unless.. your government ( not mine ) decides to take that precious empty plot of land for their Temasek profiteering usage, as usual.. daft.

Sigh... the videos are wasted with the crappy music.

There was crappy music playing at the venue all day long. Why did they do that? They already had music blasting out of the competitors' cars' exhaust pipes?

I totally agree with you. I feel that they are holding themselves back. Just GO!

You meant the event's crappy music or my appended crappy music ?

Two videos had appended music because I was standing right under the bloody loud speakers and there was no proper sound.. lots of distortion.. so I muted the event's music and put in my own..

The other one I took on the public's zhng car is.. well.. there is no sound.. so I put music lor..

else you want to hear people talking nearby lei.. sekali overheard guy talking to mistress how ?

Privacy mah hehe !

I don't understand why the place so big, but must put the speakers right in front of the barricade.. can't even heard the cars running and screeching.

See the stupid part which is in bold below.

Now I understand your reason for putting in the crappy music (sorry la it still sounds crappy to me [laugh])

But thanks for putting up the videos.

Didnt know carpark rally still alive here. [laugh]

Thanks to all the Tiong Chia people who still believe car park racing is still fun.. LOL

I prefer go proper track.

I cannot imagine you might be a rich guy, buys a sports car, and then accidentally hit the kerb and all your sides, undercarriage, chassis is damaged as such.

Car park rally should be open space with perhaps cones or some non-detrimental barriers markers instead of cement kerbs.

No wonder I have a feeling that those drivers didn't push their car to the max... the video looks like some cars are looking for car park lots indeed.  [laugh]

I think it was quite alright - there was after all quite a long hiatus and it takes guts to cut those kerbs close. The spectators paid nothing to watch the proceedings, got free soda and free umbrellas just for being there so not much to complain about on that front either. Once the competitors start getting used to the dusty surface and nail down their setups we will probably see more intense fights.

Drift is all about style & show, alot of time is wasted while doing the power slide.

This race is about who has the fastest time to complete all the stages, doing power slide will only put you behind the rest.

Evo & wrx are designed to run in rallies, not circuits. Just take a look at their histories & you will know why mitsubishi & subaru came out ideas on evo 1 & wrx GC8 in the 1st place.

I would prefer gymkhaana with all the tight turns that really put your car & brain to the limits.

Track is too wide & boring, only can prove the car who has the highest power & brakes win.

Aiya it's about how you drive what. Go track also can langgar accident. Put cone also can cause damage.

Carpark rally not really so much about speed, more of skill and agility. Avoiding the kerbs is the whole point.

Anyway I was there also on Sunday. Weather damn hot. Now got tan.  [cool]

Its just a sad shame that Singapore does not have a proper race track for cars or bikes..........

The people are left to mess around in carparks......seriously its beyond sad..........I'd feel hard pressed to be proud of this kind of "racing"
