Can consider Mee Mee Optics at Bukit Timah Plaza.

The optometrist, Mr. David Chong, is the President of the Optometrists' Association of Singapore and is very experienced.

I see a lot of young children there getting their eyes tested.

No vested interest.

I believed majority of the optical shops are alright Ba.

My boy was sent to National Eye Centre and the reading was the same as our usual optical shop at buangkok mrt.

Just somewhere nearby would be fine

Good info. Will consider it seriously even though the location is quite far from where I stay.

Not really. I had a friend who did his glasses at Bishan was wrongly diagnosed with a higher degree.

You mean one of the pioneer shops at Kopitiam City beside Buangkok MRT? Previously I always see like no customer visit the shop  [:p]

Thanks for the info. But no  [:p]

Thanks. Will consider it too.

*touch wood*

do take into account the varying progression of myopia among children. Some may still need to change lens after 1 year.

The problem is i don't have a regular optician  [laugh] I have astigmatism but not high at all. I have been wearing contact lenses for very long. I used to have glasses but my daughter broke it when she was a baby and I never get a new one after that  :XD: That glasses was with me for many years too. I think this time it is not only my daughter has to get a pair of glasses but so am I too  -_-

Anyway can a 6/7 year old wear contact lenses?  :a-anyone:

Both my optician & eye specialist advice me not to wear contact lens.  Ordinary ppl like me can't make sure that contact lens is as clean as it should be.

I am no specialist.  I would not suggest you to do so.

I have been wearing glasses since 4 yrs old with very hi astig.  I am very selective on optician.  Optician has to be very patient to find the correct power and subsequent adjust it downside (to ensure that your eye do not rely 100% on prescription glass).

Even though i change glass every 2 years, optician also very patient to exam my power.  I strongly recommend this shop.

Wah looks like your shop is the one I need. Coz my daughter astigmatism degree is higher than short sighted and I need the optician to be accurate in his/her diagnosis and apply correctly to her glasses. From I heard those with high astigmatism are not suitable to wear contact lenses.
