Need to strip off entire coating..

How much can you remove depending how hardworking your detailer. [;)]

But personally I would just keep it.

This PPS (Paintwork Protection System) thing seems to be an overkill.

People are spending few hundred bucks to over $1,000 for a simple coating (the liquid can be purchased online for $20) that eventually wears out.

Faciful marketing terms are used to describe the coating - Ceramic coating, glass coating, 9H.

PPS is basically a glorified version of car waxing.

The amount you spends on PPS and the follow up re-coat applications far exceed the cost of a fresh coat of paint.

Worth it?

Not for me.

$20? I was offered $7.50 from some china manufacturer [laugh]  [laugh] ..  There are even local made coatings.

Well, to each of his own, really have to do some research before taking the plunge. Frankly, there are some that work well but just that they don't come cheap. I'm a wax and sealant guy and it took me 4 years to convince myself these stuffs do have their advantages. If you are one who likes to do some workout over the weekends, this is definitely worth considering. But for those "bo chap" then please save the money..
