Wanted to buy a new Harrier. But hesitate now as i heard that it has inherent gearbox issues.

It results in jerky movement when trying to moving off and gear has tendency to slip.

anyone here knows about the this? or

if any harrier owners here experienced that issue?

TWO BIGGEST ISSUES WITH HARRIER GEARBOX
1. Heat - Lack of air cooled peripherals and poor heat dissipations will resulted in damaging the pressure sensors and solenoids in your gearbox.
2. Start / Stop function - When releasing your brake, high torque is being transferred to the torque converter. When you accelerate, torque multiplied while your torque converter struggle to cope with the sudden torque engagement . Thus, this 'environmental friendly' function will shorten the lifespan of your torque converter drastically leading to premature wear.

What exactly is the issue?

Issue with the gearbox?

It's a cvt, should be smooth.

Issue with the Smart Stop system?

I understand this is to prevent unintended acceleration in certain  conditions.

Issue with the start/stop?

Its technology now I can only say it's jerky in any car.

So which is it exactly? So confusing.

New harrier 2.0 on CVT and smart start stop may jam the gearbox torque converter if you don't apply 2 second rule.

If you don't then just have to add smart start stop cancel module . Plug and play behind a/c panel.

I got the TRC off error. Workshop says torque converter spoil.

Is it really due to the start stop?

I also have the habit of using the manual tronic gear, could these be the causes?
