Good place.  Cheaper than wearnes.  I had them replace my passenger door lock module.

Thanks, i was quoted about $600 for that somewhere else. How does it compare?

this? i have been there once to accompany my friend for his volvo and it was a good experience. had a bit of leakage issue too. it's definitely cheaper than ADs but don't expect dirt cheap prices.

their mechanics are experienced and you pay for the quality work, less the cut throat price of going back to the dealers.

You drive Volvo also ah?

The founders are ex wearnes folks so the SOW should be similar to AD style. They specialise in the JLR group vehicles and Volvo and Porsche.

I don't use them cos they are always crowded. Send them WhatsApp msg also don't bother to reply.

my dealer just done a full service but decided to do a oil change with motor edgevanatge after recommendation from a very good friend and researching 3 so-called volvo specialists

$180 for oil change using original filter & volvo approved castrol oil

they found gearbox oil leaks so took some pictures & managed to get my dealer to pay for it not 100% but 70% of the cost to change the cover seal which is around $1.3k where it was done 4 days later after my 1st visit

I bet to be different.  Went to rectify some knocking noise and was told to change parts that are not related to the noise.  Without solving the issue and still act like they were never wrong.    Swear that I never go there anymore.

I tried out Motor Edgevantage when my XC60 overheated and lost power steeirng with many warning signs displayed last Saturday.

They were very resposnsive to arrange a tow truck for me to tow my XC60 back to their Sin Ming workshop. Upon arriving with the tow truck, they attended to me immendaitely and quickly identfy the problem. As it was already late in the afternoon, they told me earliest I can get my XC60 back is Monday.

I told them I have an important event to attend on Sunday evening and requested for their help to see if it is possible to fast track the repair so that I can collect my XC60 back on Sunday since they actually carry the spare parts required to fix my problem. I told them that I'm even willing to pay them overtime expenses to get my XC60 back on the raod ASAP.

They were very accomodating agreed to work on Sunday to fix up my XC60 without imposing any extra charges. Since I have the benefit to experience another Volvo workshop in Kaki Bukit which I has nothing good to say or share, I felt that that I have a moral obligation to share the good experience I have had with Motor Edgevantage for sacrificing their weekend to work through my car.

I will strongly recommend anyone driving a Volvo to go to Motor Edgevantage!

same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, i towed back to Wearnes and even though it's out of warranty,

they fixed it FOC, must have been a defective pulley that they did not issue a recall for.

I'm looking to buy a used xc90 too. Any ways to check the gear box other than driving it? I went for STA and an independent garage and they both won't check the health of the gearbox
