Definition of overtrade

People,

what is the commonly accepted way of calculating overtrade?

Let say my 9year old car Parf = $10k

Most Japanese dealers will take it in at $15k.

Mercedes will take it in at 25k.

Is the overtrade given by Merdeces considered $15k or $10k? Is overtrade the amount over the car market value (which is a bit ambigious) or its Parf?

I am trying to see how much wiggle room I have for negotiation based on previous posts of $15k overtrade.
