Xiaomi Mi4i

My missus has a Xiaomi Mi4i.  Doesn't use it that much.

Lollipop OS.

 

Always got problems with using two sim cards.

Got one data only and one data plus phone??

 

Unless the data only card is in slot 1 then it won't read that sim.

 

Had a few other problems as well.

 

Nice enough phone but do other users have problems with it?

Tried that many times but don't work.

Already changed motherboard once but no diff.

If you have bought direct from Xiaomi, then bring it to their service center and demand an exchange if not fixed properly.

Ha ha.  That's easier said than done.

Their service center which is sub contracted not Xiaomi direct is very poor and the technicians not up to much.

My missus said the service center is full of old folks who have problems with the phone.

A lot of the phones are export models apparently and Xiaomi won't have anything to do with them.

This appears to be the issue for some inexplicable reason.

 

Second motherboard change within warranty period.

Even after change MB still can't use both sim card slots with pre paid sim without actually changing sim from Sim 2 slot to Sim 1 slot.

 

But if use two contract sims then no problem using both Sim slots without having to change.

 

How can that be???

 

Anyone else have this problem???
