I ve used turtle brand and duragloss brand. I find it very useful for daily (or 2-3 days) maintenance. It takes less than 5-10mins to clean the car.

Of course if the car is super dirty, normal wash is recommended. Otherwise (the dirt) gonna leave lots of scratches and marks on the car.

fully agreed. last time i used those wash and wax using no water. spray on a  wet cloth just wipe .. the effect has a silky feel but just feel something not right because the dirt maybe trap under the wax and like not clean. in the end rather go for water wash and quick liquid wax. according those rinseless product.. it claimed that when u rinse the cloth in the pail, the dirt will sink to the bottom due to the detergent chemical. i dont really believe. when dirt trap in the cloth how to sink. so best is rinse and use a different cloth for drying. if u get a proper drying cloth the process of drying is actual a breeze

Unfortunately, I think I cannot afford to do daily or 2-3 days maintenance.

I agree that if super dirty, should do normal wash.

If let's say a weekly rinseless, do you have confident in the products you've used, that it would not affect the paint?

I think I am likely to be able to work around the dirty containment by using two different pails with grit guards or just the "garry dean" method using lots of microfiber.

So now you're back to the water wash and quick liquid wax ?

P.S.  i take a really long time to do a water wash and quick wax.  [laugh]

yes now i back to weekly water wash and rinse and liquid wax( no buffing needed just apply only) ..and i take no more than 30min inclusive of simple interior wipe. and i only use 1 20cents coin for water.. but i think now will be 30cents since the water price will up..

That's fast.  I take about 2-3 hours excluding interior.   Maybe I am over doing it.

I switched to a waterless wash last month but already thinking of going back to normal wash... need to use 3 cloths as the dirt gets stuck to the cloth. Maybe still need to do a rinse before waterless wash to get rid of the excess dirt, but then I might as well do normal wash....

I wondered if it is technological or commercial reason that car paintwork remains roughly the same for the past few decades.

With no many innovation why our car paintvwork still require period washing and polishing.

If NASA can send a painted rocket into space and get back for re-use, I wondered why their paint technology had not filtered down.

I have given up sending my cars to AD for their special polish that promise to last 6 months or some to a year.

If you constantly part under a cover, generally the polish will last as what it claims. But most times our cars are often out in the open.

Have you also notice our oven which can heat up to several hundreds of degrees centrigrade but the paint work still looks the same after several years of usage. Maybe oven company know something that we don't.

My rinseless spray type only used to clean localised stains. Like dried bird droppings and sap from trees as and when spotted on paintwork. Is more effective than a wet cloth.

I water wash my car only once a month so the immediate waterless clean saves the paint from permanent stains.

I would not suggest to use rinseless for weekly basis. I think/assume the dirt accumulated on the car in a week might be terrible.

I did few times when i was too lazy. Yes the car still looks shiny and clean however the towels re damn dirty lor.. Guess, it also depends on the environment of your workplace and home.

If theres always construction going on at the vicinity, forget abt rinseless.

So have you switch back already?

Think rinseless need to use alot of the product plus a few cloth to get the whole car clean.

I think not really a lot of product but definitely a lot of microfibers... and the microfibers must be those good quality ones!.

My experience with a quick detailer spray previously,  doesn't seem to be effective.  Maybe I never soaked long enough.

Maybe I should retry.  Which rinseless spray did you use?

If not weekly, then likely not going to use it.  [laugh]

I brought in some of this Optimum waffle wash pads for Rinseless wash..

It works greats, easy to wash I don't see any dirt left behind.

Eh... the write up don't seem to be promising if it is going to be used on special occasion.  Do you carry the big red sponge?

Whether you want to use the Optimum Waffle Wash Pad for every day washing use, or just for special rinseless wash occasions, the unique waffle foam and soft open cell guarantees you a clean surface every time.

maybe the SUN UV plays a part. UV tends to dull the paint like darken your skin color. also because car in singapore is expensive so owners tend to take better car. u seldom see ppl in the states take good car of their car
