DACH Supersonic January 13, 2019 Share January 13, 2019 Anybody can advice on how to use the Apple Carplay? Already download the app on my mobile, but cant to link it to the infotainment system wirelessly... or does it have to be via wire? Any Tech Guru can advise? Finally done up PPS on my not-so New ride =D Congrats to your new car. You need to connect the phone physically to the car USB port to enable Car Play. ↡ Advertisement

Lash15 Clutched February 3, 2019 Share February 3, 2019 Hi, anyone knows if the Ateca rear taillights work like DRL? Meaning, the rear light is lighted up while driving even in bright conditions (headlamp off and lights set to auto). Thanks.

There's no such thing as tail light lighting up permanently during the daytime, because this is a safety hazard from driver confusion. Closest thing to your description is the rear fog lamp, which glow red when activated (but headlight need to be on as well) Edited February 3, 2019 by Ceecookie

Will have a look when I head down to showroom.thks. Why do you want the rear lights to have DRL? Some drivers in fact wants to switch off the front DRLs. I actually quite like it. But yea, good to have the option to switch on and off. Had that option on my Peugeot previously.Anybody knows where can I find sunshade Ateca? Closest thing to your description is the rear fog lamp, which glow red when activated (but headlight need to be on as well) I beg to differ bro. My car only has Auto/Pole Lights/Dip Beam on the light switch while the high beam is on the stalk. Even in bright daylight, the front and rear LED strips are lighted up when they are on Auto. Switching the light switch to pole lights does the same things, thus I wouldn’t call that DRLs. In fact, I’m one of the type of drivers bro DACH says that would like to switch off the front DRLs. It’s cool but I felt useless. Not sure about Ateca but I would reckon it be the same. The DRLs came along with high end conti cars in the very beginning. Then, those owners who like to zhng their cars with all sorts of lights especially Jap/Korean cars put aftermarket DRLs on their bumpers that were super bright and irritating when it is day time. The use of DRLs is for safety reasons where in case the car in front of you may not spot you. But those aftermarket ones are blinding you instead. Nowadays, most cars comes with DRLs even with some Jap/Korean cars like Altis, CH-R, K3 etc. While I still see Vezels with aftermarket ones or turning on their pole lights mimicking DRLs. Those who have them factory fitted wants to turn them off. Those without finds 1001 ways to have it. What an irony. Anyway, why do you say having rear lights up in day time a safety hazard and confused drivers? Mine don’t. They have a segment which only lights up when I brake in additional to the 3rd brake light. As for rear fog lights, please only activate them when it is heavy rain or dark/foggy. Never, ever turn it on in bright daylight. It blinds the driver behind you. I once had a Sorento driving in front of me who had his rear fog lights on in a bright daylight temporary blinded me that I had to switch lanes to avoid him. Cheers. Not sure if u use DRL is the correct term, but you can set Rear Fog which lights up more bulbs @ for the back lights. Why do you want the rear lights to have DRL? Irritating for Monkey Biz @ Night 𤣠Hi, pls don't teach others the wrong things. A rear fog light uses different bulbs from the back lights. They are super bright and only meant to be used on foggy days, heavy rain and poor visibility, etc. Turning them on in a bright daylight would cause temporary blindness to the driver behind you. Cheers. Edited February 5, 2019 by Wormee

Cheers. Yea, most of the foglights and aftermarket lights are glaring. I was driving behind a Renault Scenic and noticed the original rear DRL, and I found myself keeping a slightly safer distance. So I was curious if the Ateca has it, and preferably with the option to deactivate! Cheers PS: Happy CNY to all

I have mine for almost half year already, mine half year servicing due soon. In this period, I have already drove up north 4X already, the adaptive auto cruise is really godsend. Power is adequate, fastest I drove is 140 very stable, i feel it could go higher no problem. At 110km/l the rpm is about 2200/2300. Road noise is higher than I like...dont know if is the tire..I would like to change to a quieter one. Driving low speed on Spore well paved road , cabin is quiet. (And I assumed it would come with park assist and passenger electric seat, but I guess, gotta give and take a bit. Haha)

Also verified the rear lights are lit during daytime. PS: just realized the glovebox isn't cooled and the boot doesn't have 12v socket. Otherwise, nearly perfect. Maomao82 2nd Gear March 22, 2019 Share March 22, 2019 Hi Guys, any recommendation for grippy tyres, yet not forgoing too much comfort. Looking at something comparable to PS4 in my previous ride Am on stock Turanza T001, comfort is decent, but performance not very good imo Cheers ↡ Advertisement
