To my surprise despite having same drivetrain, freed hybrid only has 135bhp n 13-Nm torque, though motor torque is at 160Nm but avail at lower rpms. I bot fr Vincar, tks to a mcfer here.

How was your buying experience with Vincar ?

You go for guarantee bid?

They are offering now ~103k, 4 bid non guarantee, rebate@45k

first x buying fr PI, still ok, though i'm not sure if I was too enthusiastic or se too laid back, as I was always initiating. nevertheless, I got a reasonable deal thru a mcfer pm. twas a gcoe package. I wont advise getting ngcoe fr PI; AD maybe.

been driving it for slightly above a mth, enjoying the "carpet ride" feel, completely diff fr my prev Honda experience. pickup is v decent, esp when coupled w motor input. insulation for bnb car is considered good. I nvr really enjoyed listening to music in a car until now becos of road noise, though traffic noise can still be heard (if only there's double glazed windscreen or smthg lidat).

Honda sensing features r worth mentioning. the lane departure alert, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control r among my favorite functions. LDA will vibrate steering wheel n tell u to turn back to keep in lane by pulsing the wheel to counter steer direction. LKAS when turned on will even steer for u for gentle bends while in ACC mode. ACC will cruise itself n manage the speed according to traffic conditions despite u hv set a speed to cruise, n distance between ur car n front one can b adjusted 4 settings.

other niceties includes steering angle of wheel display when parking, setting 3 types of tones for winker / signal, setting 6 colors for dash display side stripes n light stripe below speedo display (feels like 2G handphone settings)

interior is comfy n calming I feel, w armrests provided for first 2 rows seats. some may wanna replace the birch wood like dash panel w walnut one from FJ website.

things I wish I could change - either design sharkfin antenna or screen printed antenna instead of having stick type at right side, tail lamp stretch fr side to side with tail lamp red plastic or chrome strip (maybe intentionally not to differentiate fr odyssey).

This new Freed is not able to repeat its earlier success. Model came out too late for PHV; after PHV finished their mass buying?

U mean the 08-09 freed? I don't think freed is v successful in its sales even til today, no doubt it's growing in numbers recently..

I opine the current freed may be in the shortlist of those currently contemplating sienta, wish n mobilio

Vincar. Booked march collected mid june. Warranty 5yrs / 100,000km incl hybrid batt. Supposing hybrid batt not working anymore, can run on engine though fc will b affected. Maybe 15kml instead of 18-20kml

Hmm, your experience of 18-20km/l is 20% less than 'catalog' 25km/l...

May be mostly city driving but I tot hybrid is good for city driving?

Any petrol freed driver to share FC? 'Catalog' 21km/l

mix of hw n city, say 65/35. city driving may not hv much opportunity to use motor since engine doesn't charge hybrid batt as sufficiently as hw. hence, if almost using engine to propel n engine + motor to increase pickup / response, fc will nvr be as good as hw where hybrid batt gets optimally charged n ready for ev mode more often (provided pedal control to achieve ev mode is done).

fc of hybrid dependent on ratio of engine use & ev mode use. use of ev mode whenever practicable will def improve fc.

as of now, i'm balancing between fc n response, wc i feel is acceptable for the fc i expected even before i collected my ride.

i paid under 109k but that was in early march when i booked, although coe was secured around apr at 54k. w cevs being 30k, parf is a min of 2.5k despite reasonably high omv of above 25k.

Ya, it seems cheaper earlier...

My customer bought freed (petrol version) about same time at 97k despite 52k coe...

I Guess the variables are CEV, OMV & margin...

has CEV went down ? and OMV went up ? that lead to higher price now?

Yup, just read, CEV went down to 20k...correct?
