can flame me on this but i think some how it was the race issue. The management didn't bother to think of other alternative since only 1 crew cannot board the flight due to their own manpower issue, they chose to enforce this due to the last passenger happen to to be an asian.

I think a lot of CEO are really stupid people.

They are probably just power hungry people

that back stabbed their way to the top.

This idiot beating his passengers up and

telling his staff it was the right thing to do

and the uber idiot arguing with his taxi driver

and stupid enough to be filmed and exposed.

Hope he learned his lesson, next time f the

driver off camera and lie that it didn't happen.

The corporate world is getting more sleazy no

wonder companies have to talk about ethics

and morality cos many top management don't

have it.

:D

Ex-CEO of United.

After watching this, you will better understand why this shit happened.

agreed agreed...

so.. already boarded.. but plane cannot take off ...

offered the max compensation (4x ticket price for a short haul domestic flight)

randomly chosen customer refused to leave..

call in police to remove him.

wat do u think the airline should have done different?

Very easy, just don't fly their own staff back.

The staff are not part of the working crew for the flight right?

What makes the staff have a higher priority than a paying customer? They need to work on a next flight? Then paying customer no need to work or fulfill other responsibilities?

PIERS MORGAN: Fly the Friendly Skies? You get better treatment on Con Air than on most domestic US airlines

they did mentioned if these 4 do not fly, the other flight has to be cancelled... so should be working crew

Pay more and someone will take up the offer. I'm sure if they give 10k, they will have to beat the volunteers to stop them from volunteering.

By the way, why is it they only knew about their staff needing to travel at the last moment (when the passengers are already seated?)

Could have arranged for the 4 staff to seat in the toilets, what's the problem?  [laugh]

Working crew for another flight (not the current one).

A passenger bleeding from the face is just bad PR.

They should have tasered him until he got knocked

out and then stretchered his unconscious body out

and claim he fainted. This nice caring image of them

helping a passenger will be great PR.

I wonder how much they pay their head of PR,

I am sure its too much.  [thumbsup]

All these big companies they really need to pretend

to care about their customers even though all they

really care is their money. At least just pretend lah. [thumbsup]

cnn article. Jetblue claims they don't overbook but of course they still have the clause to deny boarding.

i tot vulcann qns was to bump people off if necessary, not necessarily due to overbooking

erm... i thought that was what the Chicago PD said initially but after video showed that his head was slammed against the armrest rather an accident, they retracted the statement and in fact referred back to the aviation people... ?

His face ran into my fist!  :D

Really gone haywire. I'm sure there's some screw ups that led to this. Should have done so way before the passengers checked in.

Once everyone boarded, how can you expect to get people to get off?? The decision to use force is also a bad one. Wonder who decides? Pilot or ground team?
