another one of those inventions as useful as a solar powered torch

Still need to physically push the door.

Don't have one that closes with remote activation?

Best is to incorporate in the key fob.

it's quite useful if you stay landed and want to sneak out middle of the night in stealth mode.

no need to slam things to wake the enemy/wife up.

Good mod but i am more concerned with reliability. So often we need to keep reminding our passengers be gentle when closing the door. Also with periodical PDR on the door would it damage the mechanism?

what is/are holding you back from installing one?

Reliability issue, maintenance and workmanship. The durability is also a concern as well. So best to seek more reviews and find out more about slamstop...no harm but for more settle feel I think.

Actually in the Older Days, the Heavier the Door, the more "Solid" the Car[like Mercedes Benz in the 70's-the early 90's],at that time, most Japanese Car's door are very light & don't produced much Sound while Closing,People always said Japanese Cars are "Milo Cans".....currently,the heavier the Door, people find it difficult to close & need electrical assist in it,is it funny.? :a-fun: Maybe now Human being grow "Softer".

Sorry, I meant my house front door, like this.

Yes, it's reliable and practical. Provided you have the 2 adjustment for speed of closing and latching. [:p]
