I actually visited tahoe and Yosemite more than 20yrs ago.

Tahoe during Dec and Yosemite during summer and Dec.

Now hope hope to bring family there in the coming year.

Bro, you rent a car?

The place you visited are quite wide apart and will need at least 2- 3 weeks to have a more relaxed trip.

GC ... take the helicopter tour ... worth it [thumbsup]

book early and take early slot (7am) ... cheap cheap

pick up from hotel to air field to hotel

if drive ... it's 4hrs ride from LV (1 way) .... and you dont see the bird's eye view of the canyon

Ok. You are familiar then.

If you are planning a self drive trip, his itinerary may not work for you during winter unless you are prepared to drive in the snowy mountains.

States must self drive lah. Easy peasy.

I did both on 2 separate trips. If you have time, driving there is better. I feel. Edited by Voodooman

The skywalk is in Grand Canyon West. Very touristy. I prefer South Rim. Drove 4-5 hours from LV. To me, that is the best place to see GC. The journey is however a killer.

If time is limited, I rather skip GC and stay a little longer in Yosemite or Tahoe (during winter). In Yosemite, must do some hikes to see the full beauty of the place. Many people go there and just walk around in the valleys. There is so much more.

I notice TS did not go Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur, those are worth visiting as well.
