yeah ... pacific coast highway drive simply awesome ...

i cover all 3 places you mentioned

Pacific drive is gone already.... landslide...

I booked a bus tour to grand canyon as day trip but stupid company cancel on the day WITHOUT informing us. Grand canyon tour company. In the end we self drive there. Not too bad... we just took pictures there at the lookout only.

The skywalk is in Grand Canyon West. Very touristy. I prefer South Rim. Drove 4-5 hours from LV. To me, that is the best place to see GC. The journey is however a killer.

If time is limited, I rather skip GC and stay a little longer in Yosemite or Tahoe (during winter). In Yosemite, must do some hikes to see the full beauty of the place. Many people go there and just walk around in the valleys. There is so much more.

I notice TS did not go Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur, those are worth visiting as well.

We just took all the 5min hikes in yosemite :)

Looks fun!

Bring back memories of me and my friend in our younger days renting a 10 years old corolla and using a map, driving to LA, LV, SD and SF. No Google map that time hor.

Those were the days.

When I was there 20yrs ago, no GPS. All navigation was using map.

A lot of planning was needed on the route.

Yep, was there in 1999. No GPS, data plan, simi sai.

All depending on map and yes planning needed.

It was fun though, seeing more of the places if go wrong route and sometimes discovering new places. GPS nowadays just bring you to the place, that's it.

It's not about the destination, it's the journey.

we skipped death valley because there are fatalities, death by GPS.

Basically, some people blindly follow GPS into lousy deserted roads.... car breakdown.... die there...

Seems like you are always globe trotting for leisure (not work).  [:)]

Travelling for work where got time to take pictures... anyway no subject cuz family not around.
