No, what esso fleet ?

This kind of fleet card is based on invitation only.

Like for Uber..

https://www.uber.com/en-SG/drive/resources/esso-fuel-card/

This one is applicable for lion city car rental that tie up with Uber. There is a Calvert, to get total 30‰ petrol discount, need to complete 125 trips in 1wk. If that particular wk did not hit 125 trips, it will be based on tier level on number of trips to determine the total discount.

The base discount is 18%. The rest 12‰ is reimbursed back on the Uber weekly pay.

"Oil consultant Ong Eng Tong said: "Most of the oil majors would like to divest their petrol stations. First, it is not their priority, and second, (it is due to) the coming of electric vehicles in the not-too-distant future."

UK, France, Norway, China have announced timeline to outlaw petrol and diesel cars. Singapore may not be the early adopter but it will not be too far behind. So what this consultant said make sense.

you know how much taxes are collected from petrol sales as well oil majors?

nowadays anybody also can claim to be consultant

i'm sure the govt will be creative in filling up this expected fall in tax revenue

carbon tax, distance based road tax, higher electric price for charging anyone?

I making a guess. Jurong Island converted into another casino playground?

Tonnes of money goes into building an oil refinery. Even more in protecting it and the turn is a GDP number.

you cannot just flip a switch and say bye.

Turbocharged

Sinopec is known for slashing prices at HKG. I wonder if they will do the same here too.

Then again, will Singaporeans shun Sinopec because it is from China and their petrol will be deemed as "inferior"

Will they have a rewards Program or will they follow SPC and just give no frills discount?

I just find it interesting that they wanna come in where others like BP went out.

Oh and I kinda miss BP too. Sound so atas! ð

My wife would avoid spc because its 'china'... quality cannot tell.

But then no complaints when we go across causeway fill up petronas, petron etc

If one station in Yishun lower price, then it becomes the new JB. There will be signs put up in CTE before approaching Yishun to have 3/4 tank full. [laugh] [laugh]

mayb new rule, only those stay in yishun can pump there, pump petrol must check IC.  [laugh]  [laugh]  [laugh]

Tax more for the food you eat, the water you drink, the air you breathe

Big nations have the luxury to implement this in small phases.

If things go wrong, they can just revert back.

What's BP?

Ba Pok? Hmmmmm...haha.

allow me to share my 5 cents

when a prc company wants to set up shop here.

they just want to use singapore as a advertising platform or adds credibility to their organization.

even if they breakeven. they would still continue cos..for example. could venture to Australia or europe and in every single meeting they have. am damn sure Singapore operations would be main key features

or

they could project themselves as a singapore base company. this would white wash their china ties.

which allows them have an easier time to break into any markets with suspicious or deepset resentment against anything prc

all these are my own views. if falsehoods raises...

look for radx

Yeah. Pay more of course better quality  :D

Yes, Buffet has stake in BYD, but definitely not majority share.

Anywhere can make money, sure can see Buffet.

Many of these rich investors are investing into industries disruptor, betting someday it's will be a leader and scale up the business globally.

My point is that it isn't state-owned.

It's because of this cheap mot good. Good not cheap mentality that cause us to be suckers. I still recall Rover 620. Using Honda Accord n chassis. Good premium leather. Yet cheaper then Honda. Did not sell well. But once they raise prices and became more expensive then Honda Accord. Boom town Charlie. And hence I have this perception that you need to be treated with disdain and that will trigger a event to cheese you off to buy.
