Too bad, still no combi version. The facelift Superb though subtle but somehow makes it looks more attractive. It will be great if the hybrid, combi and scout version make it here.

Turbocharged

The new Superb iV is the company's first plug-in hybrid. Along with the electric Citigo-e iV, it will launch Skoda's new electrified iV sub-brand.

The plug-in hybrid pairs a 115kW turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine with an 85kW electric motorand a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. System outputs is rated at 160kW and 400Nm.

13kWh lithium-ion battery is positioned underneath the rear seats, and gives the car a 55 kilometre all-electric driving range under the WLTP test cycle. Overall fuel economy is said to be 1.7L/100km.

Available in both hatch and wagon body styles, the Superb iV includes a sound generator to ensure pedestrians and cyclists are able to hear the car in EV mode.

Owners can check the charge status or control the air-conditioning system remotely via a smartphone app. The Superb iV can also be specified with trailer assist, and a surround-view camera system.

Very unlikely the plug in hybrid will come to SG? Might give it a go in Aust if it comes...

BMS JB4 tuning box is now available locally in Singapore.

Enquire through them directly.

I am not helping to market it, nor get a cut hor, I just saw the advert on facebook.

I have no interest in fitting such devices for car performance upgrades.

cheaper to buy on line and its quite easy to fixed.

As long as you know how to read instructions and able to change a light bulb at home, should be pretty straight forward except for plug D

Side by side comparison, and I have to say the facelift is more elegance looking...

For the hybrid version, the annual road tax will not be as cheap as a 1.4T is supposed to be, no thanks to the unique formula for hybrid vehicle by LTA...

A petrol-electric car uses a combined conventional gasoline engine and electric motor. The Road Tax payable is based on the engine capacity or the maximum motor power rating, whichever is higher.

Annual road tax for 1,495cc = [$500 + (1495 - 1000) * $0.75] * 0.782 = $682

Annual road tax for 85KW motor = [$950 + (85 - 70) * $24] * 0.782 = $1,025

In comparison, annual road tax for existing 220ps 2.0T (1,984cc) is $1,194

It’s an estate, not SUV.

Something it been, just like Volvo XC70 is to the V70.

2020 Skoda Superb Scout Unveiled As The SUV Alternative

It sits higher than the regular wagon and comes as standard with AWD. Meet the first-ever Superb Scout, designed for those who want some of the off-road attributes available in the Kodiaq but are not fond of SUVs. It gets a series of upgrades over the standard Superb Combi, including the essential all-wheel-drive as standard equipment.

Aside from the usual plastic body cladding you’ll also find on the heavily related Volkswagen Passat Alltrack, the Superb Scout features a reworked suspension adding 15 millimeters (0.6 inches) of ground clearance. Skoda has gone a step further as there’s even an off-road mode for when the going gets tough, while the underbody protection for the engine and undercarriage should come in handy when dealing with bumpy terrain.

Further denoting it’s more than just a simple Superb wagon will be the dedicated off-road screens in the infotainment system providing the driver with all the relevant info whenever tackling rough roads.

Joining the three other Scout models based on the Octavia, Karoq, and Kodiaq, the new Superb Scout will only be available with the top-tier engines, namely the 2.0 TSI and the 2.0 TDI. The former is rated at 272 horsepower (200 kilowatts) and 350 Newton-meters (258 pound-feet) torque, while the latter produces 190 hp (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). In both cases, the engines are linked exclusively to a seven-speed DSG.

Good point. Hope the price will also reduce by 10k. But what about the gearbox, maybe no longer the 6sp wet?

The new 2.0 TSI outputting 140 kW (190 PS) features a 7‑speed DSG as standard.

Basing on the torque rating of 320 Nm (30 Nm lesser than whats available in the current 2.0T), it should be the new DQ380 (wet clutch), instead of the current DQ250 (6 spd wet clutch). A good upgrade in term of GB, and paired with the lower horsepower and torque rating, high chance of it getting into band B ($0 VES surcharge).

even reduce 20K you will buy ??   :a-bang:

I would prefer the current 220 ps / 350 Nm engine.

But if SCS can bring in the new 280 ps / 380 Nm version (same configuration as the VW Arteon), and price it at say $160K+, should not be difficult to have ready buyer for it. (I might be one of them).

Especially love the Wagon version.. and i think the interior beats the new Audi A4...

I always prefer Superb Combi over the sedan (officially known as hatch) for 2 main reasons:

- Practicality (larger and more usable boot space)

- Full length panoramic roof

Owning several sedan and SUV / MPV over the past 20 years, these 2 are now on the top of my wish list... [:)]

if u can plug in, better to get all electric, no?

Full electric version not available for Superb yet. The only full EV in current Skoda line up is the new Citigo iV.

Citigoe iV, largely carries over the design of the conventionally powered model but ditches the internal combustion engine for a zero-emissions setup. At the heart of the eco-friendly Citigo is an electric motor rated at 82 hp (61 kilowatts) and an instant torque of 210 Newton-meters (155 pound-feet).

That might not sound like much, but bear in mind the Citigoe iV is a tiny A-segment car measuring only 3597 millimeters (141.6 inches) long and 1645 mm (64.7 inches) wide. Skoda isn’t saying how heavy the pure electric city car is, but the ICE-powered versions tip the scales at well under 1,000 kilograms (2,204 pounds).

Hello AG, is there any chance the superb scout is coming to SG?

An excellent 5 seater SUV which I'm willing to trade in my current Superb for!

Hello Lchong,

Honestly, the chances are unknown to me but I will feedback your voice to my management about the scout for the facelift version. I do think the scout looks real solid also, especially the bodykit and rear diffuser.

Anyway guys, the Kodiaq Sportline 1.4 is available from today. Looks really good! Will try to embed pictures if I can. Car is in showroom already. All dechromed with canton sound system, 19 inch rims, alcantara sports seats with diamond cutting, and body kit with rear chrome tailpipe.

Not just the scout, but the combi introduction to SG market should be highlight to your management since the interest is there. Thank you.

Just saw 1.8L Superb Ambition on the pricelist, VES B, but 5k more than 2L Ambition. Shouldn't it be cheaper?

It's the same price as the 2.0L now.

the 1.8l with torque of 250nm, the 7 Speed DSG is likely the "problematic" DQ200.

But Why???

yeah.. why bring in the 1,8? not that we have a road tax like  1.8 is the limit before the next tier of taxes

It says Limited Clearance Units for the 2L Ambition and Ambition Plus on the Skoda Singapore website.

Unlikely the 1.8L OMV is higher than the 2L,so its price does not make sense to buyers given that it is also VES B.

Maybe they will mark it down at the upcoming event.

Facelift one either 1.5 or 2l right.. just wait for it??

There are also three turbocharged petrol options: a 110kW 1.5-litre, and a 2.0-litre making either 140kW or 200kW.
