Why die die requires 4 cars to proceed? Too bad that period i'm at Europe already otherwise can join u.

:D

Just to show commitment and I've found 4 cars easiest to manage because usually will get split by pairs. Go in three also can, provided the third car driver is familiar and knows landmarks to rejoin the group. Hence it is better to get "lost" in pairs purely for safety reasons.

The most recent I've been there was last July and this April.

Might not be most familiar but gonna be depending on Waze and Google maps.

Good.. We can have a 地头蛇 to bring us around.. After a long drive, one can make do with a good proper massage (don't 想歪), a good meal and great company.. Sounds great.. Still awaiting my CO to chop my off pass... :a-happy:

Melaka is fun!

just to recommend some places for you guys to consider...

1. Chicken Rice Ball

BB-376 Taman Melaka Baru, Batu Berendam, 75350 Melaka

this place has nice and affordable chicken rice ball, and not so touristy... a bit far from town centre though, about 20mins drive.

2. Coconut Milkshake

No.5, Tingkat Bawah Jalan Kanan Satu Taman Ria, Batu Berendam, 75350 Melaka

this is the latest craze in Melaka, same locale as the chicken rice ball...

yeah, love melaka too.

you ought to stay in this hotel call the pines, very nice and spacious.

i'm not a fan of chicken rice ball but love the Coconut Milkshake.

ba ku teh

satay celup, remember to go there early otherwise you be queuing up and eating other people's saliva.

can try the milky cheese mee hoon but i find it quite expensive.

if you dont mind the travel, can try the roast pork rice during lunch or open field street food for dinner, where you park your cars literally on a soccer field.  [laugh]

thanks for the recommendations.

i have relatives staying in Melaka, so will always stay with them whenever i go there.

my parents' and relatives' hometown is Melaka too, so we tend to eat at those not-so-touristy places where they grew up eating... there's this nice mee goreng and nasi lemak at Semabok area...

Can you ask your parents a question or maybe you can answer.

Must be nearly 40 years ago when I make my second trip to Malacca, can't get used to Melaka, we stayed at the Merlin Hotel east of the town center.

But now the hotel has gone and I can't remember exactly where it was situated.

Can you or mum and dad help?
