Went to Singtel Hello store just now at Tampines Mall.

Tried the Google Pixel 2XL phone

The feel of holding the phone is neat. 

Played around with the interface and it is swift.

Pixel clarity is also quite good.

Hardly 2 pages here. If there's not much talk about it it's as good as not existing.

 

I think they are too late to the competition. Don't have dual back cameras. Cost more dan 1K even with the lowest plan. Nothing special.

 

Their single camera better than dual OIS on iPhone X and Note8

i can't buy it yet cos my current plan is still bound by 24 month contract. But the phone I tried is quite cool.

saw the pixel 2 XL in real life, the top bezel looks dam weird. even worse than iphone X

I think the main draw of the google pixel is the Google assistant. It is like having AI with you all the time. I ever tried using voice to command the google assistant to send a WhatsApp message on my moto z while driving and it worked like a charm.

I thought every android phone has Google assist. Now I can command my living room track light and bedside table light using Google home or Google assist on my phone
