To each his own.

in other words, silly program that minds others the way they want to live their life.

Just like how some people here like to boast about how they full cash everything and look down on others who have to take a loan for something .... As if everyone will have to ask them for help if they cannot pay up their loans ....

Buy within one's means.... [bounce2]

As long as one is able to afford the monthly expenses and no need to borrow from others ... it's their choice [bounce2]

If everything need to pay full cash then there are quite a long list of items which one will never get to enjoy it in their life time..... [grin]

It's their $$$ and their choice so there is no right or wrong :a-noway:

nothing wrong with wanting to own a car (which is why we are here in MCF), but need to see the reasons for saying die die must own...
i think this article is trying to portray owning a car with low income as something of a wrong mindset. then sell garment's initiative of car lite SG...

I think if they do not spend beyond their means, are not being subsidised by current transfers from parents, who are we to begrudge them their choices. #justsaying

True, i have a friend told me he dont need a car, waste money to buy car before he has kids. And after he has kids liao, he bought a car, told me inconvenience to take public transport when kids are young, and after kids in school still need a car cause need to fetch kids to tuition, swimming etc classes, now cannot live without a car.  [rolleyes]
