Yewheng Twincharged December 6, 2017 Share December 6, 2017 (edited) So far, my experience with both of them (Grab and Uber) is that Grab seems to be cheaper and they are more responsive when one books their ride. Not sure if anyone here have any experience with either one of them do share on this platform, cheersBoth got good and bad. 1. Uber driver will not know where is rider drop off location until the driver click start trip. This is totally different from Grab where grab driver will know where is rider dropped off location before he even accept the ping. So in terms of chance of getting a driver for short distance trip or trip to ulu places or to tuas south area, uber will be better. Grab high chance they see these drop off location and will not accept the pin. 2. Uber and grab for erp. For uber, the fare that you see when you make the booking is what you pay which is also inclusive of erp. Whereas for Grab, if enter erp, rider will have to pay the erp separately. So if let's say when you want to make a booking, although on the onset uber seems a little more expensive say like 1 bucks more expensive. However if you know that the route that driver take will sure passby one erp that cost 2 bucks then total cost uber will be cheaper. So it all depends also whether got go through any erp for uber and grab comparison. Edited December 6, 2017 by Yewheng

Leo72 6th Gear January 15, 2018 Share January 15, 2018 Do you get paid more as an uber driver or a grab driver? I heard you can earn up to $100/week as a grab hitch driver Possible to earn more than that in a week with 2 hitch trip per day with up to 4 pick up (single pax) in a single trip with max SGD15 per pick up. (15SGD x 4 pax x 2 trip = SGD120 per day) but picking up to max of 4 passengers means the rear passengers may not feel comfortable. So should be 3 pick up / 3 passenger per trip. But you must be very lucky to be able to do 3 to 4 single pax hitch pick up per trip. I had heard of people who's so lucky that everyday can pick up 3 single pax hitch in the morning when he goes to work and 3 single pax hitch in the evening after work. Really envy that person.
