Just changed to this set of new eco tyres, Bridgestone EP 300 yesterday evening at SE Tyres Co with Uncle Ming.  This new model is an upgrade from EP 200.

My initial feel of this eco tyres on the road so far has been quiet (maybe becos it is new) but the grip on dry roads been doing well so far. Cornering at 60km/h has been a breeze. Stiffer sidewalls improve body roll which I like.

What I like is that it has enhanced NanoPro-Tech with a new polymer that provides enhanced wet grip due to an increased contact area that grips wet road surfaces with higher frictional force at the micro-level. In addition, the new tread pattern contributes to anti-hydroplaning performance, better handling and reduced noise.

I also learnt from Uncle Ming that the EP 300 deeper lug depth on the tyre shoulder is designed to strengthen durability and increase wear resistance. The tyre also features new tread design to better control tyre deformation and provide long-lasting tyre life through a uniform wear pattern.

Will monitor the tyres further to see how it performs down the road.

the 195/55 r15 is a photo i took of someone's car there.

mine is 205/55 r 16.

I trade in my stock rims and tyres for $350 for another used new rims that took it off from a civic. So I have paid for the Eco tyres for $570. It means rims one for one exchange.

Uncle Ming is very patient and bothers to explain and clears my doubts.

Cheers

My Mich primacy 3ST has traction rated at A and I find it quite unacceptable let alone a B.

I shall only consider traction AA the next change.

Ecopia300 is more of comfort sedan tyres that’s focused on longevity and noise reduction looking at the fine lines.

I also choose AA for traction only.. Michelin Latitude Sports3 AA instead of Primacy3 ST A

The worst Tyre I ever had is Toyo Open Country (made in Malaysia) that has a A traction... did a brake test on a hot day on a dry road along Marina Boulevard and E brake at 90kmh to zero and car skidded for a few metres. Did another 60kmh to zero and also skid. Changed the tyres out after that.

So for some Tyre brand that you have not tried before, good to do a dry road brake test and wet road brake test on wide empty roads so that you will have a rough idea how the tyres will perform

Hi, need some feedback from you.

Is the tyre noisy after the initital run in? after 5k?

Still quiet now? I presume u would be covered as least 30k by now.

Hope to get some feedback as I value quietness.

Ep150 is noisy after 5k.

Thanks in advance!
