A fren spent a lot and bought all the best brands and no one wanted to sit the back seat of his car. Sound too boomy.

It's not only the equipment it's also the tuning.

ð

Tune for the owner to listen not for the friend.......

That what a audio shop told me

Problem is my fren a bit deaf.

Too much clubbing.

Young people don't go clubbing.

Spoil your ears only.

juz enquired a component speakers that could be nicely mounted onto the A-pillar,

bringing the high and mid nearer to our ears ...costs $2k  [sweatdrop]

what is the brand and model? 2k include pillar or pod or just the speaker set?

Hello fellows,

Are there any good speakers for a recommendation?

Can name me a few of brand?

I preferred good speakers, not the super high-end type (e.g. audiophile) because I do not intend to put the woofer in my car anymore as I need the space. So when I have the low taken away, I need to get a replacement to cover it.

Again, I do not that super low end as well.

i assume u r asking for 2-way components. any budget?

personally i like DLS. The Helix sounds ok for the price too.

the best ones i've heard are Focal Utopia Berylliums and the Morel Supremos.

of course the source, amps and tuning differs.

i don't like Ground Zero, German Maestro, Rainbow and Micro Precision Series 3. the MP 5 and above sound good though but it's quite expensive.

you need to soundproof your front doors to create a box to achieve a deeper and fuller sound.

Just my two cents worth. Theres actually quite a few things that you can make improvements with your head unit. Explore the physics behind time arrival differences between audio sources.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interaural_time_difference

And really, the more audio sources you have ie speakers, the more comb filtering you have. The "delay" function can really do wonders if you have a calibration microphone and a FFT software to analyze and compensate for comb filtering. Again, the key word here is "compensate" so no miracles expected.

Also, proper crossovers do help in reducing the over distortion levels of individual ways of speakers. If your HF for example doesnt have a filter applied, then it'll be forced to produce low frequencies like 80hz for example that isnt supposed to be intended to HF drivers/tweeters. this 80HZ frequency when applied to a HF causes the diaphragm to move within its unintended range.

Its simple to say when you're pumping in a pure sine wave of 80hz but when you're dealing with music which is a complex waveform, then it takes away a lot of imaging and clarity as the physical diaphragm is vibrating at a unintended frequency.

Just my two cents worth :)

Time alignment is for imaging.

SQ is still dependent on the source, amplified by the amps and reproduced by the speakers. Proper staging and imaging and tuning complete the setup.

Equipment and tuning, each have their role to play.

I believe cos its simple physics.

An amp adds distortion and the more

distortion you hear the less details you hear.

Common mistakes in hifi

Adding amp always make the sound better

Component is always better than Coaxail.

Vacuum amps are always better than solid state

Monkey hear monkey say.  [thumbsup]

i cant recall the brand, but the circular speakers itself can be fixed right onto the A pillar without any mod to the pillars.

they are sold in xtreme.

Well don't have to follow and audition other set....

Just be contented :)

Don't always go around listen to others setup.....

It have the ktv effect.

The gal beside always more pretty ......

:)

Price of speaker does not always justify the SQ.....

And also depend on personnel preferences
