Driving against traffic in Condo Carpark

Hi, does anyone know if anything can be done to offenders who drive against traffic in a private property?

Few days back, while walking across the carpark my mum got a shocked when suddenly a car appeared from the wrong side of traffic. I reported the case to our condo MA and they said they will issue a notice to the offender. The MA also shared that there have been afew other similar reports against the same car and one of the resident has also lodged a report with TP but they will not penalise the driver because it happened within a private property.

Obviously this driver will continue this reckless behaviour. Is there any way we can take action against him or is there any suggestions to overcome this issue? I also notice other cars going against traffic but so far I don't bother cos they seem to move with caution... but I guess I was cant be bothered cos it did not affect me/my family till now.

Any suggestions?

There is surely CCTV evidences in the car park.

The Condo MA may consider lodging the report to the police as I think they will listen to them more than just a resident complain.

By-Laws can be implemented by the MC and policed by the condo manager.

Eg. Fine or confiscation of some deposits.

Just make sure it is raised during the meeting notes

You can also email to them for court reference should anyone get knocked down, and no action was taken for prior complaints

Actually for private property, the road is repave and maintain by private party, so it has nothing to do with the government. For example, some polytechnic has those golf cart driving within the campus by security staff, which is allowed as those roads are maintained by the institution even though it comes from public funding. However for NUS, the roads belong to ah kong aka government, therefore no cart are allowed, Security uses private car as a result.

Nothing much the condo can do and to enforce. Even want to sue has to be in personal capacity. Government not interested and not bothered. Own self settle own self.

Supercharged

best approach is stay vigilant

Since young, I made my son to accept the fact that people will drive against the traffic directions in our car park as well as public roads so that he won't get killed

Suggest to make the road "a dual carriage way". Problem solved. From illegal to become legal.

Paint zebra crossing where there are many pedestrian traffic.

Win-win.

Actually whether dual carriageway or not is secondary. Keyword here is reckless. My condo carpark once in a while will also have this type of siao lang going at a high speed. And sometimes I see this in my son's school as well! Parents going at high speed in school carpark where there is a huge traffic volume of students walking near the car park!

I only do that in my condo when there's available parking lot within few metres away. And I do it at a slow speed so as not to catch pedestrians off guard, especially those stepping from the lift lobby onto the walkway. I did notice few cars zooming in the wrong direction at "my grandfather road" speed but unless there's videos and frequent occurences, the MA will prob not do anything about it.
