Anyone know any BMW car parts dealer?

Looking for this particular part:

2006 BMW M5 Front RH Driver Headlamp Washer Cover. Mine dropped out while driving around last week.

The accompanying LH part number is 5111706058509 if that helps.

Been to a few workshops (from Google) but they don't seem to hold it/unable to order it. Helpless on eBay as I do not have the specific part number.

Thank you!

Neutral Newbie

Hi, i'm basically a newbie in this "car" thing. I'm a foreigner which is now studying in malaysia and looking for a car to drive on a daily basis.
I'm looking for a car that's not going to make my bank broke  [nod]

Currently i'm thinking of getting Mercedes-Benz w124 either 230E/260E.

I've done some research around the internet, and my conclusion is that:

-Parts are not too expensive and can be found easily

-Good car, build to last

-fuel consumption is ok

My questions are:

-Although the parts are relatively cheap and can be found almost everywhere, i need an approximate price for the parts (the important one)

-Some say the fuel consumption is economic, some says "can be ok, but sometimes can be thirsty", wdyt about this?

-How much would the car cost? (Searched in mudah.my and carlist.my it was around 5k-10k MYR, is it the market price? and is it safe to buy from there?)

-Is it hard to change the ownership of the car? Since i'm a foreigner.

-Any suggestion on where to buy the car?

-Any other suggestion of classic cars? e.g.(Audi A4 B5, W123, BMW E36(some said parts kind of hard to get nowadays))

HI all. Im new in here so hi to all of you..

I have an weird issue with my aw55-50sn (renault laguna 2 2.9 2005) My car wont go to 1st gear after warming up but will go to R real good. When its cold it works fine no issues! sometimes it does weird thing that it goes only foward on R nd N.. No error codes at all!

I took valvebody off and workd on it then saw 2 solenoids wer shot... Well bought new valvebody complete one. had new solenoids in it etc lookd like great work. But when put it on same thing happends no D when warm... Im thinking if filter is glogged? oil amount is spot on correct.

I know audi transmissions like back of my hand even multitronic i have fixed tons of thoes also old american car trannys mopar nd gm i can fix blindfolded but never i have seen tranny do this. pls if there is aw specialist id love to hear your toughts on it.

I dont think its clutch plates cause it grip good when cold if it would slip cold then maybe, Loosing my mind here haha.. i know i should pull it out and look at insides but i have feeling its a little thing...

Hi looking for some help with my car, it wants to pull left then righ then left then right.

I have had the alignment checked and told its okay, and i tend not to believe its the alignment as it would most likely pull only one direction.

Tire pressures are always checked and again if there was one tire lower it would always pull this direction...

I would have leaned towards brakes sticking however i had both front calipers replaced due to them sticking ( smoke.hot wheel) and also the brake pads and discs.

so  i cant think what else it could be ?

I can feel what way the car is going to pull before even moving... i need to hold the biting point for a little longer as i can feel it tugging in whichever direction it wants to pull, there is also a feeling of being held back ever so slightly when accelerating requiring more gas to get it moving.

machanics have looked at the suspension and related parts and can find no fault.

There is no tyre pull either as i have had it with every set of tyres and again it would want to go one way not switch around.

i would describe it as a dragging pull.

thanks for any input.

FWD Volkswagon 2017 plate 45k on the clock.

Hi. i had same thing in my car was weird i did all front breaks even calibers and Still did it. weird fix was that clip that hold that caliber hose was rusted and it clampd that hose! so break wasnt released. Hose lookd like brand new so i didnt change it. Also in another case after that bought new hose but there was fault in it! it had lip inside hose so it was like a valve.

Dear all bro and sis,

Am new to this forum, I just bought a pre-loved VW Passat (either B6 or B7, reg in 2014). I would like your advice on where can I install the auto folding side mirror when I lock or unlock my car. Currently, I can only do it via the switch on the driver side.

Appreciate your kind response in advance.

Hi, I have a question about my Volvo S40 2007 suspension.

My cas makes a clicking noise when I turn so I took a look at the suspension.

My question: Do I need to replace the back suspension or might it be another problem causing this weird noise

Thanks.

goodThe general price of the car is fixed, but the salesman often points to the discount of the old car in order to make money from it,want u to trade in, and sometimes is higher than the commission for earning the car price. I just had this experience a few days ago. The salesman told me must trade in , and lost nearly$ 6,000. In fact, i trade in or not the price of the car is already there. , but it is for the dishonest salesman? I bought the Korean car, Hyundai, I have shown her disappointment to me, the salesman  haven't answered me yet. This is my lesson and experience, so please be careful! Be careful, although money is important, it is even more angry to be cheated.

move.  Means they cannot also post new stuff unless they are replying another poster lah..

Negative review on Optima Werkz (Optima WORST) - Please do NOT bring your car here! Had to tow my car away after they damaged it

I apologize that this is a long post, but I would like to share my experience in more detail so other people do not get cheated by this workshop as I did.

I've been sending my Panamera in to Optima Werkz at 6 Kung Chong Rd for the last 2+ years after my warranty and service package expired at the Porsche Center. Mysteriously, a few times after I sent in the car for regular servicing, they noticed some problems with the car, claiming that they either: 1) heard a sound when they took the car for a test drive, 2) saw an error message when they plugged in their diagnostic system, or 3) saw a warning light which happens to appear on the car just the day after I sent it in. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first few times out of good faith, but this time was something else.

I sent my car in for regular servicing to do an oil change last week. The car was perfectly fine with no problems, driving smoothly. What I thought was a regular service turned into a $6,400 bill, and was told that the intake cam sprocket was damaged and had to be replaced, furthermore it was a "good thing" they discovered this problem now as it would have cost us alot more and required an engine overhaul if the problem went on undetected. One sales rep said that it was due to, you guessed it, the diagnostic system showing an error, while another sales rep said (unsurprisingly) that they heard a sound when they took the car for a test drive - clearly something was not adding up as they were giving different excuses. When I questioned them on why the bill was so expensive and sent them a link that was selling the same part for US$650 vs. their quote of S$2,100 per piece, they came back with a revised quote of $4,450 after giving more discounts - shaved $1,950 off the bill just because I asked! I felt really uncomfortable at this point as they were clearly being dishonest, and requested for them to assemble the car back together for me without fixing it. To my horror, they said the car could not be driven / the engine could not start as the part was broken. Upon questioning further, I realized they had broken the part when they opened the cover, that's why they could not fix it back, and that is why the car could not start anymore although it was functioning perfectly when I dropped it off. Upon learning that I wanted to tow my car away to another workshop to fix it, they panicked and immediately dropped the price to $2,000, saying that they will fix my car "at a loss" by throwing in complimentary labor etc. when what they should have done is own up to their mistake that they broke the part and changed it FOC.

The best decision I've made is to tow my car away from Optima Werkz so that they never damage any part of my car ever again. For those out there looking for a car workshop, please please do NOT use them as they will create unnecessary problems and make a huge hole in your wallet for repair bills you did not even need. Your repair and servicing needs are better met elsewhere.

Many WS are like this  :D  esp if they see you drive Porsche .  But this WS  really smart ....... try to push the blame to you.

:XD: .  Since you already posted in the other Optima Thread , objective done.

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Spacestar diesel and aside from a few other concerns it really needs the gears looking at, but I wonder if the rising cost of this and other bits'n'bobs will be more than the car is worth. Hesitant to have a mechanic charge me for an examination and then tell me it's for the scrap heap.

The problem: Very stupidly had a scramble for gears going downhill and somehow briefly knocked it into reverse. Crunch! Seems like this caused a cog or something to break off as now reverse doesn't work unless I hold it into place. All other gears are fine but if I accelerate while in reverse the car doesn't move and a horrible whining noise rings out. But, as I say, if I hold the gearstick in position with my left hand while steering with my right it is fine!

I realise this is probably one of those 'unless we look at it we can't tell what it is' scenarios (already had a garage tell me this), but on the off chance somebody reading this has experienced something similar and has an idea on roughly how much it would cost to fix I would love to know!

Thanks in advance.

Buying a car is always an big expense and I'm hoping to find something with the least cash outlay.

I've been contemplating getting a brand new Jap car (something practical and economical) vs renewed COE B class (something I really like)

Hearing a few scary stories about how much costs gone into maintaining a COE Mercedes and the number of breakdowns got me thinking and confused.

Hoping to get some advise if it's viable / worth it to get a renewed COE B class.

Thank you in advance

For a newbie, a brand new Jap car (or used one) is a better choice than COEd B Class.

Not that the B Class is more problematic, but it is better you have basic knowledge to trouble-shoot when it broke down, and have set aside a sum for repair / replacement of parts, if you have set your mind on one.
