How come my fuel gauge needle stop moving?

It stops at 3/4 mark and not at full or empty.

May I know how to repair and go where repair?

Prefer north or west side of Singapore.

Depending on the fault, either remove whole speedometer assembly or dropping the whole fuel tank and disseminate the fuel pump assembly. If going to scrap soon, advisable to retain it, just reset your trip meter after every refill to monitor fuel usage.

Let it be.......can go JB even with empty tank......just make sure that your petrol is not that low so as to switch the warning light....

Just take out the fuse or bulb for the warning light.  [thumbsup]

:D

People always get the best advice here.

Looking forward to the headline.

So chun stuck at 3/4?

Many people that always go in JB

pay good money for luck like that.

Its a sign to just leave it.

:D

And just fill to 3/4 every time you go

JB. Even if they check manually you

will always be ok.

No worries bro. We'll use this page as evidence to back u

my car fuel guage sometimes will show empty even though the tank is full

intermittent problem...

And I'd suggest that you fix it really soon too. You never know whether the warning light was tampered too. Besides stalling on the causeway, excessively low fuel levels can damage various parts of your car, including your catalytic converter, which can be quite expensive to replace.

Haven't fix yet. Currently pump more regularly and monitoring distance travelled.

Will repair after cny...after clicking an unknown button, the fuel gauge still won't go down.

It will display full when I pump to full.

But after using some petrol, it will always stop at around 3/4 mark.

Unknown switch ? Looks like you have bought a used car that was aclimatised for JB refueling before.

Better remove the magic switch.

Driving in below 3/4 is one offence

but tempering with the nice switch

is a worse offense. I know done by

previous owner but if caught how is

TS going to prove this?

:D

Best is don't go in or pump full tank before going in. Worst is TS dunno what rewiring is done to the car and many of these are not done properly which would results in turning the car into  风火轮。
