Munich SAS lounge :

Functional

CPH SAS lounge:

Showers are separated from toilets so pee then shower..

Food equally basic.

But it's warm and it's a place to put up your legs if you have a long journey ahead ..

SATS Premier Lounge Terminal 2 Changi Airport.  Priority Pass access.  This lounge was voted Asia Pac Lounge of the year 2017 by Priority Pass members.

Air China Business Lounge, Shanghai Pudong.  This is a Star Alliance lounge, and I used this lounge before a flight back to Singapore on SQ Biz.

Turbocharged

I usually fly sq but this time I fly ana to Hawaii cuz sq does not fly there from Asia.

Ana lounge in Haneda and Narita on both flights is really good for food. Dinner time in Haneda has really yummy Japanese curry and Narita at 4pm has a Chef making salmon and tuna sushi .... I really like ana lounge compared to krisflyer gold lounge.

Supersonic

Flew MH biz recently. The renovated Golden Lounge at klia was huge! But not very cosy or hotel-ambience unlike SQ Silverkris

But food was kinda average and shower area quite poorly designed and managed.

The coffee machine is working but very very slow. Some times has to queue 3-4 persons ahead.

Changi one I guess SilverKris is the real thing. Never been there. Can only guess.

KrisFlyer Gold is just the basic.

Recently flew J, F and R on SQ on both short to medium haul.

Satay all nowhere in sight. So if MH still serving satay I would hazard a guess it’s better than SQ. Lol.

Only had satay at SYD KF F SKL.

Just realised. I flew the syd route in R three years ago and had satay. Flew syd again in R last month and last week, no satay.

Last time I had satay on a flight was 2 years ago on MH J from KUL to DPS.

Didn’t know that satay was costing SQ a lot of money.

SQ satay is good. MH never fly before.

I watch a youtube video BBC, 45min on SQ.

It also showed how the satay is charcoal grill and all meat are used are properly select.

Never tried MH satay before.

For SQ, only once or twice.

See 7:21 of this view.  Taste was good.

When flying long-haul red eye (e.g. Singapore to Europe or back), they don't serve satay.

I only had satay when I flew non red-eye long haul.

Going BC from LHR to Changi with Lufthansa in a month.

It's a one stop in Frankfurt and then SQ from Frankfurt to Changi.

Much cheaper than SQ all the way.

We have 'book the cook' meals from Frankfurt so unlikely to get satay but really no problem waiting for proper satay in Singapore.

Haven't been SQ Business for 30 years so will be interesting.

Will tell you how the Frankfurt lounge is in a week ;)

Is it a big deal to get satay on flights?

Isn't it better in SG?

I usually opt for the Western Meal, a fish or a steak..

The onli thing I dislike abt SQ biz is the unnatural diagonal sleeping position of the lie flats. Only the bulkhead seats are straight. Try choosing them during your seat selection.

Book the cook isn’t always better as i had regretted my choice b4 after seeing what was available in-flight menu instead. But the lobster thermidor is supposedly one of the better choices. First world problems....lol
