What “Sports Sedan” for 150-170k?

Wondering for roughly around the price range of 150-170k what type of semi sporty sedan could one get?

Some of the basic criteria as

Decent 0-100 around 7-8sec(or better)

RWD if possible.

Here is my short list. Prices are rough estimates based on post in the forum or advertisements.

1. Infiniti Q50,152k

2. Kia stinger 158k

3. Alfa Giulia 170k

4. Jaguar XE 153k

 

Sort of ruled out based on price or performance the following,

Mercedes C, maybe 170k can’t even buy the base c180, it’s too slow anyway and same goes for the base BMW 3.

Lexus IS300(200t) is over priced at 180k.

 

Of the list of 1-4 above, only the stinger or Giulia seems somewhat exciting.

 

Have I left out any others which should one should look at?

Personally I would take 1,2,4. Q50 and Stinger is value for money, XE is premium brand. All should be RWD.

Can stretch a bit to consider the Kia Stinger 3.3 GT?

Stretch to stinger 3.3 will be 200-210k that’s another close to 40k more and 150-210k is a huge range.

Can always stretch but then it becomes never ending cause for that little bit more you can get this and that.

Audi is FWD, wrx maybe, but seems a little outclassed in terms of interiors and being a little more executive.

153k Jag is diesel.. u can't drag gears.. before u know it, u are out of breath and got to shift up

There's also the S60 T5 at $160k (245hp 6.3s) and PI CLA250AMG line at $161k (211hp 6.7s).

 

Actually S60 looks like a fantastic deal though need to note that its the outgoing model.

I was considering pretty much the same list but went with the stinger in the end

I chose the Passat 2.0 with 01-100kmh timing in  6.7sec when I was in the same dilemma more than 1 year ago.

 

If I can go through the same process again, my choice would be the Kia Stinger.  Aggressive sporty looks with RWD...
