DACH Supersonic April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 Deep-rooted cultural problems cannot solve, so decided to stay home and count the millions earned in the ~6 yr instead. Good choice... I think most likely that things are improving recently after the major incidents, it's better that he quit now before he had to take more pressures again when incidents happen again. SPH? Well, you have to ask Mdm Ho why she always appoint the person for that job. Maximize profits with a person who can achieve it with cheaper, better and faster approach? ↡ Advertisement
inlinesix Supersonic April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 Maximize profits with a person who can achieve it with cheaper, better and faster approach? Nothing wrong with that approach since SMRT was listed on SGX. Every year, SMRT needs to pay dividend. What was wrong is to list it on SGX.
13177 Supersonic April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 They only bring in the wrong people to be the CEO. Even before Desmond, SPH already started the damage and she's not from the military. Like this how? Bring in paper general cannot and even bring in non paper general also cant make it?

That's to keep stock price up. Other things are NOT important.

Good news useless DK is stepping down, bad news is another paper general is going to take over SMRT, which many people might foreseen the problems and issues would still the same?! Kyrios Turbocharged April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 I see. Not reported again. Seebeh lack of integrity and transparency on the part of the transport provider...totally running against what LHL says about having transparency in the gahmen.. So are they preparing Drift King Desmond for next erections? In a GRC? SOP right.. Beri good life after earning a few millions in bonuses...

Other things are NOT important. Profits are priority but BOD and mgmt needs to look at long term profits and not just the next quarter. And consider the regulatory/political environment they are in as well.

CH_CO 6th Gear April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 (edited) SINGAPORE - Observers had mixed reviews for outgoing SMRT CEO Desmond Kuek, even as they were hopeful that his expected successor - former chief of defence force Neo Kian Hong - can hit the ground running. Lol collected enough money run Liao , so much for giving them time to settle down lol give them time now leaving Liao still nothing knn , haiz open your eyes and vote properly This incompetent CEO is going run to your MP , if he can't do a job properly do you trust he will run your country properly ? Watwheels Supersonic April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 I think sooner or later smrt will be sold to some foreign country to run, just like NOL. The way it's run cannot attract real talents and talents from within the company to move forward. Although it's not wrong to put our top 5-10% of our ppl into these businesses but these scholars aren't businessmen. If you put them in academic organisations it will suit them better. If govt wants to put our own ppl in our locally run businesses they should also nurture local businessmen, engineers etc, not just focus solely on scholars.
