Hey all, I am doing a survey to understand more about the local luxury car rental market, and will appreciate your help with the poll above and comments.

 

Will you rent a Porsche 911 (Type 997) or an Audi R8 (V8) for the above prices?

I wouldn't mind renting lower end JDM sports cars, MR-S, MX-5, DC5R, maybe an Elise as well, but of course, not at those prices. That said, I know the demand for the cars I'd want to rent are lower than for a semi-exotic / luxury sports car.

 

$500 for the 911 sounds about right, if it includes insurance and all. I don't think I'm willing to splash $800 for an R8, unless maybe for a super exciting weekend.

Not sure I would spend that kind of money, but between the two, go with the R8!  It's the same car as the Lamborghini Huracan, only slightly better performing.  I test-drove it on the Audi handling track in Ingolstadt, and, man, that thing is insane.  The 911 is just a regular car compared to it.
