i watched the whole game and would say both teams went for a draw. Both were careful in executing their attacks and were reserved and not let opposite team counter break.

He sprained his ankle. Hopefully it's just a minor one.

in replay, he looks like rolled both ankles on the pitch...

should be ok after few days rest... if not serious ...

Henderson is a meat and potatoes midfielder. Good at breaking up attacks straightaway. More so than fabinho and Gini who rely more on tactical discipline. But offers nothing in attacking play.

His natural instinct is to play the safe backpass, when his back is to the opposition but yesterday when man u midfield was sitting deep, there were at least 3 occasions, he could have turned and driven forward.

U can see him trying before he subbed off to drive down the right.

But it's just not something he can do. Hence why we supposedly bought keita.

I think a major mistake last night was putting milner ahead of TAA. He would have offered an outlet and more decisive attacking.

But well... klopp came to be compact and strong, But the injuries should have really made the LFC players more aggressive.

I applaud the man u players. They all stuck to their roles and grinded out a draw. Even pogba was being disciplined and tracking his runner etc.

Plain in my view that Klopp has set up shop initially to keep things tight at the back as he went for experience. Milner over TAA was obviously the reason. Last season Rashford played left wing ang scored 2 goals with TAA as RB.

Hendro was drafted in the 1st team to bacially keep an eye on progba. Something which psg used to good effect in their last game against utd.

We can make sense of the setup from the above. What is bewildering was when utd had to make 3 subs and changed formation to effectively 4-5-1 to form the bus, Klopp didn't react at all until late into the 2nd half. Utd was there for the taking however with the setup deployed, pool was always going to be difficult to penetrate the bus.

1 pt could still be impt for the title challenge but it should have been 3 as utd were so poor yday (understandably). But pool were equally poor by its own standard.

City also now face its own injury issues as deporte and ferandinho both left the game last night injured.

Burnley 2-1 Tottenham

Unexpected result for sure.

EPL matches and results from now till end season will not be straight forward and easy to predict.

I think every single Pool fan would have been frustrated and angry as the match wore on...

Bad day at the office. Doesn't reflect well on the team, and also Klopp. Can see that the team and squad is really not as strong as people made it out to be. In fact, if the first 11 are not available/performing, straightaway the effectiveness of the team drops 30%.

Firmino is irreplaceable in the current Pool team. Maybe a David Silva, De Bryne or Eriksen can do the job, but nobody else in the Pool team can create space and link between midfield and attack, to open up the defence and initiate a potent attack.

Without the required space, the only thing that Klopp knows how to get the team to do, is to pass backwards, and patiently wait for opponents to be pulled out of position, then attack them through the gaps created.

But when a team of disciplined bus drivers dig in, we were left with no chance - cause nobody in the team knows how to move the ball, runs at opposition, and create openings in tight/limited space.

In short, we are only good for counter attack at speed, or when opponents make mistakes.

City has Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Sane and Mahrez. 4 persons who could run the flanks, and working with Silva and De Bryne, can cause havoc for opponents. How come we cannot sign at least one more player of this calibre? If the front 3 are injured or off form, what we'll get is what we saw last night.

Before the game, looking at Utd's results in the past 2 mth, we were worried about losing.

Before kick-off, looking at Utd's injury list, already quite comforted that this could be better than feared.

During the game, as Utd players kept falling, our hopes were raised.

After the game, looking at Utd's play, and our own - really dunno what to say.

We must be kidding ourselves if we think this standard can win the league.

They better wake up and show a standard that is much much higher than this, from the next match onwards...

We miss ox badly.. ox was the one doing all these job last season until his injury.

In fact our free scoring was more because of Ox then the front 3. Opponent are force to mark him.

What does the draw mean for Liverpool and Man U?

The point takes Pool to the top of the League.

The point for Utd means they out of the top 4.

They are sportsmen so likely to recover faster.

Even if ox do come back we aren't sure he can rediscover his form again. He has been out for so long!

They are worth millions, so naturally there will be means to recover them faster than mere mortals lol.

Then how... one player out and we said it's cos of him...

City was without De Bryne for so long, and they're hot on our heels...

We must be able to field a team that can step up whenever any player is not available leh. Now our strength in depth is questionable.

And while we could pepper over the obvious cracks when we were grinding out the difficult wins previously, now that we aren't getting the results, all these will resurface again.

When we were passing the ball around at the back and winning (by the odd goal), we said it's a matured performance. Now still doing the same thing, except not winning anymore... and our assessment is very different [sweatdrop]

Matter of fact. Unless u are able to have 2 player in every position, this will happen. Some player are just more important then other.

Look at city. They drop points when Fernandinho was injured.

Shaqiri look like a good replacement until recent drop in form.

Do note; I am only referring to free scoring form of last season when I mention Ox. Currently we can still knock in goals. Just not free scoring.

We have only one first team.

If VVD and Gomez is out. Matip and Lovren is not their standard.

If Mane Salah and Firmino are out which 3 can replace them? Origi Porridge and Shaq?

Robertson out Moreno?

With our limited squad to be leading City with their 3 first teams we are doing fantastic.

Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho out for weeks, says Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola

Agreed. Don’t think many people here think that we will be challenging for title this season. But we are challenging the title now.

But essentially needs 2 equally good (or at least 1 that is not much worse) players for each position. The problem is the one that don't get to play much, will feel slighted and will not be contented... Most if not all good players want to be playing week in week out, so i also dunno how the team keeps such players happy.

This season we struggle to score leh. More so, recently...

People also forget city spend 1.5 billion to build their squad.

Liverpool spend -1 million.

We sold more players than bought.

:D

Pool fight with bows and arrows.

City have bazookas.
