In my case, except for brief periods of attempt to employ maids, none lasted, and now for many years since, chores are all DIY in my household. So standards lax a bit, only can do the necessary things like laundry and washing up done daily. Even ironing goes out the window, except for special occasions at work that calls for more presentability. If you can tolerate the maid's minor idiosyncrasies and mistakes, do treasure their contribution to your improved quality of life! I used to have quite high standards for house cleanliness. But now, also cos no maid, just make do with the necessities and the must-dos. Took her a lot of effort and she never complained. Happen to my family irl some 10 years ago. My sis maid stayed over my parents house for the weekend. My wife happened to have a pair of pants what is wrinkled by design at some area.. maid painstakingly iron out the wrinkles and proudly show to my wife..
