inlinesix Supersonic September 19, 2018 Share September 19, 2018 (edited) Survey is here: http://bit.ly/LTMP2040PCD We are in the midst of crafting our long-term land transport master plan. This will shape the future of land transport to 2040, and possibly beyond. We have identified several overarching themes and strategies that represent different priorities for our land transport system. These build on work that has been carried out in previous iterations of the Land Transport Master Plan (LTMP). We want to hear your views on the future of our land transport system. This will foster a conversation on how quickly, at what cost, and with what priorities we should achieve our shared vision for land transport in 2040. WHERE WE ARE NOWIn our LTMP 2013, we reaffirmed our vision for a people-centred land transport system. We promised more connections, better service and a transport system that supports a liveable and inclusive community. We are on track to achieve our 2030 targets as set out in our LTMP 2013: · 8 in 10 households living within 10 minutes’ walk from a train station; · 85% of public transport journeys under 20km completed within 60 minutes; and · 75% of all peak hour journeys made using public transport WHERE WE ARE GOINGOur land transport system must evolve to meet your changing needs and support our growing economy and population. We are now working on the next LTMP to set our ambitions for land transport in 2040. The LTMP 2040 is an opportunity for us, as a people, to take a fresh look at our land transport vision, policies and targets to make sure that they are fit for the future. There are three broad ideas we want to explore as part of LTMP 2040: How might we make Walk Cycle Ride your preferred way to travel? How might we make Walk Cycle Ride easier and more inclusive for all? How might we improve the quality of living for all Singaporeans through our land transport system? HOW YOU CAN JOIN THE CONVERSATIONYou can read more about these ideas in our Public Consultation Document. We will explore these in greater detail as part of public engagement for LTMP 2040.
