It’s in the first post?

I think I moved something and the system stopped sucking?

The pump now pushes water instead of sucking into the black box..

Previously two outlets from the black box pour water into the pond

There’s some kind of suction in the middle of the pond.

It’s too murky to see now ..

That means, your suction line has air lock. Thus unable to suck. You will need to re-prime the line with water for the pump to work.

Maybe the hose loose at pump side?(I saw flexible hose connected to filter box which normally become loose after some time)

1st you need to understand the nitrogen cycle.. i will summarize briefly for you

nitrogen cycle is a 3 part cycle... namely, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. ammonia being most hazardous to fish  and nitrate least hazardous... in short fish can tolerate a higher concentration of nitrate than ammonia and nitrite

when fish poop and urine, you will have ammonia... bacteria from filter will convert the ammonia to nitrite and convert nitrite to nitrate

nitrate can only be removed by water change. read the below link

https://www.thesprucepets.com/aquarium-nitrogen-cycle-1378370

Next, how you cultivate bacteria... by feeding them with ammonia... 2 ways to cultivate bacteria... one is fish less cycle and 2nd is fish cycle... again you can google...

Starting a cycle will usually take 4-6 weeks but you can jump start it.... 2 ways... by adding bacteria as per below link or by using media that has already been cycled in other tanks

https://www.easypets.in/ocean-free-z-super-beneficial-bacteria

Lastly, how do you know a tank is cycled? You should have reading of ammonia 0, nitrite 0 but xx amount of Nitrate

You can test using the API freshwater kit

https://www.apifishcare.com/product.php?id=580#.W7MZM3szbX4

If you want less algae, you have few ways... UV light, feed less, or less sunlight.... or maybe a mix of both... having a pleco/ suckerfish will work but they shit a lot.. so you may have to do more frequent water change...

Filter Media - what are they? There are 3 types . Mechanical, Bio and Chemcial but to keep things simple i just tell you what media to use

Mechanical filter- removing of debris. this can be done using a coarse filter sponge or japanese mat + a fine filter sponge.

Bio filter - cheap would be use those washing dish sponge ( note- not to buy those with anti mould of fungal), lava rocks, pumice stones from nursery. if you want spend a bit more, can use bio rod from local fish shop (LFS)

read below if you like to know more

Thanks bro, but right now I need to ensure their survival first..

Right now, I need the NDU, dive into the murky waters, find the pump, reset or fix it then worry about cleaning the tank later..

Any Navy Seals or friends of Koi here ? Help ....

Big big problem guys

I tried cleaning the pump and the entire system stopped working

If anyone knows to fix or clean the system please pm me soonest..

Fish in danger :(

go buy a portable air pump for air circulation first...

then do water change. don't forget add anti cholrine

The pump itself does not provide for oxygen, how oxygen is provided is through the agitation of water where the bubbles will capture air from the atmoshpere

Thanks bro, but right now I need to ensure their survival first..

look at my post...

you need to do 2 things only..

Water change + anti-chlorine first then go LFS buy portable air pump + air stone - battery operated if it is outside

seachem safe will also help you get rid of ammonia

Should last you 1-2 days

Thanks, I actually enjoy the process of talking to the fish, feeding them, so I don't mind the cleaning etc..

The garden is very well kept and pretty, I hope to do justice to the fish and garden..

It actually reminds me of a place in Japan from a different time when I used to go there very often..

So maintaining it well is a goal..

But right now, just not killing them is nice...

you only need to do 3 things....

1) change water... how frequent depends on your bioload

2) get something like the below to help you clear up any unwanted debris at the bottom

3) Install UV sterilizer

Thanks to a bro, I got someone down today..

One pump was spoilt.. ha, kaypoh me..

The pond had some very solid German gear, so we bought the same brand:

Eheim 3400

https://www.eheim.com/en_GB/products/technology/pumps/universal-3400

Change out the UV light to kill bacteria 9W

Added anti Midge Midgex

Added salt to the water

Changed 1/3 of the water and clean the pump section...

All is well again.

Thanks for your advice bro Adrianli & Galantspeedz

BTW - you have to focus hard to see the fishies..

They are shy and tend to hide under the rocks..
