Subaru87 Clutched April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 Dear Folks, Hope this topic continues to roll if there's any of the MCFers just sold their car and let the coming owners know about the car history. Let me be the 1 to start first. Car 1: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...234&DL=2045 This Honda Civic 1.6A is my previous car and the car was handover on 22/3/2012 . I was actually the 3rd owner of the car. Paintwork is not original as it has been re-sprayed to Pearl White before when i make this purchase. Mileage is at ard 96K++... Mounting just changed but service has to be done as the mileage is up. Buying cars from Fugen AKA Tan Motor Car Enterprise, 1 should be careful on negotiating before you make deposit. Insurance is definitely expensive than outside as they claim they have the lowest insurance. They will require you to pay additional $200 bucks if you never get your insurance through them. Admin fee is $800 and during my time, i nego till $500. My past experience dealing with them isn't really nice. In conclusion, they are not really that honest to deal with. Can PM me if you guys would like to find out more. Car 2: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...397&DL=1078 This Subaru Impreza 1.6A is my bro-in-law's previous car and handover was made on 19/4/2012. Hua Yang is honest as the given info is all correct. The vehicle is well maintained by my bro-in-law. Though this car resembles WRX, my bro-in-law never ever tracked it before and he seldom revs the engine (Can be good can be bad). Overall, this car is quite a safe buy as compared to mine. Any history needed for both of this vehicle, can PM me. Thanks!
KARTer 2nd Gear April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 When the info give by previous owners help potential buyers make their purchase decisions, this is a good thread. When dealers come to know about this thread and want to abuse or take advantage of it, how to prevent dealers sneaking in here to pose as previous owners? Well, would be good to meet up with the previous car owners with the S&P agreement. So as to prove that they are really the previous car owner. Neutralsg 5th Gear April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 (edited) Thank you for starting this thread which is as useful if not more as the thread: Beware of 2nd Hand Car Dealers - Blacklist Here! Owners who recently sold their cars can simply put in basic info such as: a) No. of owners b) Mileage c) Last service d) Any other useful info Honest dealers who do not tweak odometer etc., is unlikely to find this thread offensive as per TS's comment on his BIL's ride. On the contrary, it could boost the confidence of potential car buyers in dealers who do not resort to trickery to sell a lemon and enhance their image. Anything else between previous and new owners may be best discussed through PM. Cheers! Edited April 21, 2012 by Neutralsg ↡ Advertisement
