Strange, I thought everyone has been DIYing their holidays and booking online?

Normally it is the traditional travel agency that is closing shop.

i only book with airline direct now. got conned before with an overseas site which collected my money first and then later on tell me it was sold out and refuned me only after a week. of course i lost some money due to exchange rates.

so never again. so only direct with airline.

for hotels. only agoda or booking.com should be safer.

I booked direct also. Been to few travel agencies the pricing in fact will be more expensive to cover the agency fee. Better to book direct. Only hotels I'll book through Hotels.com easy to find a suitable accommodation.

chinatown travel agency, their mark-up (service fee) very low.

usually S$5 to S$10 per ticket from the NETT price.

Provided u trust them.

Now many china workers also go online to buy ticket.

There are so many china websites offering better deal than local singapore agency.

Strange, I thought everyone has been DIYing their holidays and booking online?

Normally it is the traditional travel agency that is closing shop.

Sometimes it is cheaper to book with Expedia or Zuji then booking direct with the airlines.

My friend compared her Tokyo air fare and found Zuji is the cheapest and booked with them.

Yes sometimes but very rarely now a days but sometimes they surprisingly can get the seats which others we cant get ... maybe they block book or take positions .... i think I used them also for Tokyo flights many years back

Cost of doing biz here is crazy, Always at the mercy of Landlords too and other associated business costs are going up badly here and too much of compliance everywhere until sometimes do we spend more time of getting compliance sorted out or do we do our sales/marketing work here

There are always two different seats quota

A) Online Airlines website

B) Travel Agency system

Why sometimes travel agency ticket is cheap?

Becos the promotion is only thru travel agency.

Online direct Airlines don't have promotion.

Anyone still remember MISA travel? Used to book from them. It also closed down, last year I think.

Now Zuji also gone... I think I used them once or twice previously.
